My 16 year old daughter and I recently visited Italy and we stayed at this warm and wonderful B&B for our last night before flying out of Milan. Carlo and Anna were so kind and accommodating. We ended up arriving to Malpensa airport much later than planned (when you grab the bus at Milano Centerale - be sure to make...

Despite being at the end of our wonderful first trip to Italy, ending with I Castagni was the best decision! We felt pampered and well taken care of. Anna met us at a nearby train station, having made our way from Venice. She greeted us with a big smile and despite our language challenges, we did just fine! Knowing we...

Was searching for a small and welcoming place to stay near Milan's Malpensa Airport the night before we departed Italy after a wonderful week's vacation in Florence & Cinque Terre. Really didn't want to be in the hustle and bustle of Milan and came across this wonderful B&B on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Carlo & Anna were gracious...

We stayed overnight; Carlo picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Ana & Carlo were wonderful hosts - they went out of their way to make us feel at home, and we learned a lot about the area. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the room was lovely, quite spacious. Carlo went out of his way to retrieve...

We stayed at the I Castagni for two nights and really enjoyed it. Carlo picked us up from the nearby train station and dropped us off at the airport after our stay. Carlo and Anna are wonderful hosts. I hand washed my clothes, and put them outside on the chairs to dry. Carlo immediately came downstairs with a large drying rack for me. He also moved the rack throughout the day as the sun shifted, so that my clothes were sure to dry. We were doing a food tour in Milan the...

In all of our travels, I don’t think I have ever been to a place that treats you with such care or gives you more value. Carlo and Anna made us feel truly like part of the family and provided us an exceptionally spacious and lovely accommodation. The room we had consisted of a large bedroom with beds for four...

Arrived in Milan tired after an overnight flight and a seven-hour wait at Gatwick, so were very pleased with the warm welcome from Carlo and Anna. Our suite was comfortable, with bathroom, sitting area, bedroom and kitchen. Breakfast after a good night's sleep was excellent: cereals, fresh local bread and pastries, great coffee. Carlo's directions to ensure we found the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Besides a warm welcome, "I Castagni" residence offers the advantage of a strategic location: our B&B is placed in Casorate Sempione, 5 Km away from Malpensa International Airport and a short distance away from Varese and Milano. Even while it is located so close to the city, the house is immersed in the large green area of Ticino's Natural Park, a land of Art and History, which are present in the surroundings of the elegant shape of Somma Lombardo Visconti Castle and the Romanic Baptistery of Arsago Seprio. A fifteen minutes drive from "I Castagni" and you will come across the beauty of Lago Maggiore (Maggiore Lake), its beaches to swim, the lively cities on the coast and the luxuriant Borromee Island. ... more   less
