August 2022 - the hosts were most unfriendly, often imposed on our privacy and evicted a family member that dares to bring a Shi-tzu pup with her. We were also not allowed to meet in a family as the cabin plumbing is 'not set up for it'. Would never go anywhere close again.

Was with the dog show that was recently held Fri Aug 25-Mon Aug 28. We were treated horrible by a female staff who was a bully & throwing her authority around, she came at us very aggressively, pretty sure you know who she is.
I will never be back to Woodlands campgrounds again

Nice place to visit, beach was walking distance ( about 15 minutes). Giant sites, but you need to make sure you have a long powercord and water hose. They even gave 2free adult passes to upper Canada village so we had something to do when it got cold. Very nice

We used this gem as a one night stay on our way from London to the east coast, and regretted it. We wished we had known how great this place was. We definitely plan on returning to make it our destination. The park was beautiful, spacious, clean, friendly and kid-tastic. Our four boys were in love with our waterfront site, the huge playground, great beaches everywhere we looked, and in particular, the very clean washrooms. I loved the clean laundry rooms, and easy to use campsites. There are a ton of nearby attractions that we didn't take advantage of on our too short stay. We meant to take off early the next morning, but instead changed plans to stay longer, grab a coffee and snack from the storefront and head to the beach right across the Sault parkway. Hard to leave, need to go back.

This place is not for large family gatherings or if you are a loud family. Here is what happened: When we made reservations, we told them we were camping with three families total. Our adult children also had separate sites. Our check in went great and the campground is clean and tidy. As the families were celebrating a birthday and anniversary we were having a party. We were a large group of about 30 of us and enjoying being together. I fully disclose that we were loud with loud music at 7 p.m. However, I would have expected campground management to come to us in a calm manner and ask politely for us to be quiet and turn the music down. We know we are loud during family celebrations enjoying each other's company, and if we were asked to be quieter we would have complied. What happened instead was unprofessional and disrespectful to us. Management yelled in anger, on our campsite pointing at our music player telling us in no uncertain terms, that it was to stay off and keep our voices down. I myself personally apologized on behalf of the group and said we would comply. It was the anger, vehemence, unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect for us that was upsetting. We were blindsided as we did not know that our noise level was upsetting anyone, it was 7 p.m. Saturday of a long week end. We felt intimidated, and were not quite sure of how loud we could be to comply with management. A conversation with management for clarification about our noise level also did not go well and was not respectful. My adult children who were camping in a different area, had difficulty sleeping due to noise near their campsite at midnight, causing all of us to wonder what were the noise level standards. So my warning is that if you upset management in any way unbeknownst to you, be prepared for an angry outburst with no apology. The way we were treated was totally unacceptable, hence this review. We will not return there ever again.

We had an amazing weekend trip here. We had reserved a waterfront spot and it was perfect! We could not believe how big the spots are, really comfortable and practical with little kids. We really enjoyed the big play structure and swings. It was nice to have the option to use the small beach near our campsite or any other beach along the Long Sault Parkway. The showers and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The shop is opened pretty late and offers firewood, snacks, etc.

Just reading the bad reviews about disrespect from staff, power tripping, mall cop mentality. Absolutely my experience. Staff (supervisor?) argumentative and threatening. Went out of her way to harrass and micro-manage. Campground and views are beautiful. Staff is horrible!

We will never go back to this campground. Too bad we just read
The bad reviews of others since 2019. We should have leaened feom their expeeience because its 2023 and we received
The same trearment of intmdation, feeling of rac (?) discrmin(?) because we are asi(?), the way the person from mgmt approached us. No consistency in their rules
That we didnt even received an apology on that part. This officer gave anxiety to some of our friends because of the way she approach and deal with issues. No professionalism with her arms on her waist, so powertripping attitude. Her delivery of her rules and violations as if she is talking to stup people who dont understand english. We werent happy with this campground and decided to leave a day earlier and just donate that one day for her campground. We are happy campers all couples 16 people and wasnt treated respectfully. Yes, we were loud and she should have deliver that calmly and nicely which she didnt. 1st day set up was approved by younger staff next day shift was with this older lady staff who gave us sh* for our ser up and we explained that it was approved. Instead of apologizing for her colleauges mistake of approving it, she just said NO, SHE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS and she kept scolding us on and on. Yes we were loud but even just our normal laugh OH MY GOD she shhhhhh us and said calm down guys. We all fot shocked and thinking maybe she nèeds mute campers only who will just do sign language. It was so rediculous. Yes I agree with other negative reviews. Same experience from this campground. Will never recommend this place and will spread to friends the bad environment from this staff. She wasnt contented of what tension and anxiety she brought to some of our friends, she keeps on showing her face in our campground and stop by looking for mistakes to say. How can you be happy with that campground. We still managed to have fun but then shell show up. Ruining our moments seriously. This older lady should learn management and people approach behaviour or attitude. Imposing respect but she is not showing one. NEVER WILL COME BACK TO THIS PLACE. THATS WHY WE JUST NOTICED THAT THE CAMPGROUND NEVER GETS NEW CAMPERS. A LOT OF SITE IS EMPTY AND WE WALKED AROUND AND YOU CAN COUNT IN YOUR HAND HOW MANY JUST CAMPED THERE UNLIKE OTHER CAMPGROUND WEVE BEEN THAT YOU SEE NON STOP CAMPERS COME AND GO AND SITES ARE FULL. WE JUST REALIZED THOSE AFTER THE ENCOUNTER THAT MAYBE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE AND THATS WHY THE PLACE IS A GHOST TOWN ON SUMMER IMAGINE. why? It speaks for itself why no campers there.

No understanding whatsoever for families with kids. The security personnel acts as if it was a concentration not a vacation camp. Only because we wanted our minor kids to be with their parents in the same tent, we were evicted from the site with the police.
I was chocked someting like this could happen in Canada to law abiding citizens. Stay away, unless you want to ruin your vacation.

We stayed at the woodlands while visiting friends that lived in Cornwall. The park was clean and well kept. The sites can be pretty uneven. Ours was on quite a slope. It is very beautiful there. They only have two buildings with bathrooms and showers for the whole park. It can be quite a distance to get to them, Luckily we where close to the new one. There is no sewer hook up being there for 10 days we had to use them. A little pricey for only being water and electric. Also look out for the mesquites they are very prevalent. Give it average because it is just a basic campground.
