Very outdated. Hallways were damaged. Ad said our room would have dog bed, food bowls but did not. Front desk attendant didn't acknowledge us when we arrived but continued his conversation with a coworker, rather than a simple "be right with you" or "just a moment please" overall unpleasant experience.

I had stayed here before with my family a few years ago, so knew what the rooms were like - old, outdated, cramped, etc., but I was traveling for work and was told this was the best place to go. You can imagine my surprise when I asked at the front desk about the Internet and she informed me it... More

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. When I checked in today the rooms were not quite ready, so the lady at the front desk apologized and asked me if I would mind waiting ten or fifteen minutes. I said okay and true to her word my room was ready in fifteen minutes. The restaurant... More

Stayed overnight on our way south from Yellowknife. Our room was clean and comfortable but the hotel is old and worn. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our dinner in their dining room was very good. When in Hay River this is the place to stay.

I would give this hotel an average rating. The lobby, front desk area and restaurant all look modern and clean. However there is no elevator, and after walking up the stairs to second floor, one can see how outdated the place really is. The carpets in the corridor really need to be replaced, they are very badly stained and dirty.... More

There are few options when staying in Hay River and we had been told that this was the best ! The Inn has been updated on the outside and the lobby area, so while checking in we felt quite good about this place but that feeling didn't last long. The carpets in the hallway are pretty rough and are badly... More

This is one of those places where you don't want to take off your shoes. The carpets are in need of a deep clean and made worse by the guests - on two occasions we saw empty food containers strewn across the hallway in front of the rooms with food smeared into the carpets. How much can housekeeping really do... More

We could tell that this hotel was quite old but it has been updated completely. Our room was large and the beds were clean and comfortable. We stayed for three nights during a very hot couple of days. Unfortunately the air conditioner couldn't keep the room all that cool, but it wasn't unbearable. I think this hotel is your best... They advertise being the most elegant lodging in Hay River , but the rooms are extremely small and the carpeting a bit threadbare. The staff , however were all very friendly and helpful. I realize this is the far north and understand the costs of bringing in everything from vast distances , but charging for WiFi is a bit of... More
