This was a decent hotel to stay at in town. Central location with a lot of food options around, and the scenery was beautiful. The room was pretty basic, as was to be expected, and smelled faintly of new paint. Couldn't get the microwave/fridge/coffee machine to work, and the TV remote was iffy, but I got it going. The bed was clean and decent, although nothing to write home about. I didn't hear the road or highway but I could hear people outside talking and smoking right outside the room, which was definitely a drawback.

Booked a room after spur of the moment decision to go fishing on Kitimat River one weekend. Staff waited up until 1:00 AM for us to arrive. Turned out to have freezers for fish and could arrange a shuttle service to move your vehicle to pickup point. No Frills, working persons hotel with outside room entrance. Rooms were clean and tidy. Everything worked. Staff was great! Helpful in every way. Lots of free parking, we even were able to leave a boat parked all weekend. Restaurant on one side and a pub on the other. Restaurant good and well priced.

Stayed at the Motel in July 2015, room was outdated and small, but being we where not in the room very much, so it was not too much of a problem. The weather was very hot, and the rooms had no air conditioning, so that was a big problem and should be something this Motel should look into purchasing. The restaurant on the property was very good and would recommend to anyone. Decent value, just needs air conditioning.

When I travel on business I normally stay at the generic blah hotel chains, Very pleased to find a very clean place to stay with friendly staff right in the heart of Kitimat. Ample parking, clean bed linen, updated shower Reno, wake up call and Wifi

This is by far one of the friendliest places I have ever been! The staff makes this experience a good one. Everyone is more than willing to do what they can for you and when you leave you feel like you have just made friends for life.
The motel itself is in pretty good shape. Their seems to be lots of renos happening from the last time I was out here. Kudos to you and a big thumbs up 👍🏻

Office staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, though not large. Restaurant on same property was also good. City centre mall (shopping) is right across the street. Small fridge in room.

I have stayed at the chalet in Kitimat a number of times with work and for leisure. I have always been treated really great and my room was always clean and cozey. They give me free breakfast, know which rooms I prefer, and have even given me a discount rate because I stay there often I am really impressed by their staff and their service.

Very friendly staff. Did their best to accommodate needs. Location was easy to find and well situated to get to where I needed to go. Chalet Restaurant next door was also good. A bit warm at night but the fan was sufficient to cool it off. Staff indicated that AC was coming later this year.

The property is typical old style motel from the early 70's, kept up and clean. No AC which is normally NOT a problem here but this year the temperatures have been abnormally high. No other motel in the area has AC.
The restaurant is the best in town.
New owners lately so we will see how it goes. Could really do with an upgrade but if you are looking for a clean low cost place to stay in Kitimat this is the place to be for now.
With 2 new motels opening up in Kitimat to serve the industry moving in they will have to up their game.
Excellent service and very helpful.

First of all, the Room has no AC and it's nearly 30 outside. The bed is very uncomfortable and is totally worn out (head slopes toward the wall). The bathroom is clean but tired and not in great repair. The walls are VERY thin...use your imagination! For this price, I would expect a much better place and won't be staying here again.
