Plenty of space in our double queen room. Clean and kitchen area has enough to make simple meals. The hot continental breakfast waa Great, 4 hot items, milk, tea, coffee and juice. Cereal, yogurt, bread for toast. Nice selection.

Courtesy of Sanjel, I spent three nights at BCMInns in Lac La Biche. The room was massive, comfortable, clean, and came with what I feel was the best shampoo I have had in many years. It also came with a full kitchen, unfortunately I did not get time to do any cooking, but I will make time on my next stay, and maybe take advantage of some fresh fish from the beautiful lake.

We stayed in the hotel on July 28 -31. The rooms were clean but the decor is a little dark. The beds were good and the pillows were excellent. Breakfast was scaled down due to COVID. We brought your dog and got a pet friendly room. The staff were very welcoming to us and to our pet. Also great WiFi.

I have stayed at just about every hotel in LLB and this is by far the best. Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet. The staff even remember your name and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. I think the only trouble I have ever had was this past winter when their electronic keys did not seem to be working properly but they have it all fixed now!

We have always enjoyed our stay here. They are pet friendly, and the rooms are not dirty, smoky old rooms that some places give their patrons despite the fact they are travelling with small well behaved (seasoned traveller) pets and owners who are with a large corporation on business. Thank you for the exceptional service, well appointed rooms(to include kitchenettes and spacious rooms) and exemplary service. I must commend Cora, who has always been a most gracious and attentive hostess, always exceeding customer expectations.

Overall I was quite impressed with this hotel. The room was clean and fairly quiet for a hotel that seems to cater to a lot of oil field workers. Be warned that starting at 5AM people will be leaving for work and if it is cold (as it often is in LLB), they will need to warm up their vehicles. Bring your ear plugs and you'll be fine.

My wife and I were travelling with our dog and were so pleased to hear they took in pets. The part that annoyed me was that hotel, along with many others, always want to place you and your pet in a smoking room. Neither my wife nor I smoke so it was tough. To the hotels credit they changed the bedding immediately upon requests which helped a little, but keep this in mind; pet owners are often more responsible than other travellers as we know having a pet means paying extra, in deposits, fees, etc. I don't mind paying these but I do expect a room that does not reek of smoke.

I hate saying that because the folks there treated us very well and no request was too small for them and they worked hard despite the ungodly weather outside (-41).

Overall, an excellent hotel. Felt very safe and secure.

I stayed here in early to mid June for a couple of weeks for work. The rooms are very clean. Each room has a mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, toaster, and dishes. I liked how there were two beds - had a gear bed and a sleeping bed. The shower did not get very hot and security in the rooms could be upgraded by installing a latch lock in addition to the deadbolt. Overall, a decent work hotel, in a good location, with helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, and an included breakfast.

The continental breakfast was a little scaled back due to Covid restrictions, but was still very good. There was a variety of food including bread, bagels, french toast, waffles, granola bars, juice, coffee, and boiled eggs. The food was individually wrapped. The first morning we ate at the continental breakfast, the bowl of boiled eggs had two loose peeled eggs with no tongs to be found. Not sure if a guest put these in or what was happening...the next day the bowl was refilled with prepackaged eggs.

The first thing I noticed when we were checking in was the front desk agent was not wearing a mask (mind you this is when the AB mask mandate was in place). With the plastic divider in place, I understand forgoing the mask, but it isn't very effective if you are talking to the customer around the divider. He proceeded to blow on the paper we signed (to dry the ink(?)) and said my room number quite loudly. As safety is very important to, I am sure, most guests, perhaps there could be an improvement on educating the staff on discretion by showing the room number instead of saying it out loud.

One evening after returning from our job site, I discovered my room key did not work. I went to the lobby, she asked for my room number, and programmed a new key. I go back to my room and it doesn't work again. I go back to the lobby and it seemed like a few others were having the same issue. The front desk agent was extremely apologetic and informed us there was a system error. She seemed to be getting a little flustered (understandably so) and shuffled through a pile of key cards in a different area on her desk. She handed me one that had 000 written on it in sharpie. I tried my door and it worked. The 000 got me wondering - I tried and it opened my coworker's door and also turned the light green on both my neighbors' doors. I feel like this is a huge security concern. I understand the need and desire to solve problems and help guests, but I really don't think this was the best way. I still wonder how many others received housekeeping cards and what if they tried to access my room?

5 years old motel. Built as a classic 2 story motel with parking in front of your door. Well built - ceilings 9', granite counter top with under counter top sink, full kitchen. Check in was quick. They service full breakfast - eggs, beacon, sausages, cereal etc. Boston Pizza is across the parking lot.

I used to be a flight attendant and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This was a pleasure to stay in, especially after my last hotel experience in Lac La Biche.

Very modern. Great, big rooms and this hotel is beautiful because of all the little things:
The shower is AMAZING! I love high pressure shower heads and this was the best I've ever had. Top that off with the most amazing smelling shampoo I've ever seen in a hotel, and it was an enjoyable, long shower. Keurig machine in the room with 4 choices for a morning brew. Wall mounted flat screen tv. Bedside wall plugs that you don't have to search for (they're conveniently located above the end table). Decent complimentary breakfast. Nothing special, but free is always good. Fresh cookies at the lobby desk :) Your door goes directly outside. No hallway noises and the rooms are very sound proof.

I also love that the location is NOT downtown, where transients frequent outside.

Hotel staff have been awesome both times here. I actually request that my company place me here every other week when I come.

All rooms have a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, Keurig machine and stove. Modern shelving with dark wood. Looks amazing.

There's 2 negatives.

Wi-Fi is hit and miss. I had my connection cut out multiple times on both stays. Very annoying, especially if video-chatting with the kids.

The other involves the kitchen. There is a sign in your room that reads: "Please be aware: At the end of your stay all kitchen supplies and dishes must be cleaned and put away or a $25.00 charge will be added to your account. If you would rather have our housekeeping do this for you it will be a $10.00 tip to be left in the room per day. If you are staying with us long term PLEASE remember to tidy up your used dishes daily. Thank you. General Manager."

The problem I have is this: Why on earth would I trust the cleaning abilities of the person who stayed here next to me to properly clean the dishes? Luckily, I didn't need to use mine, but upon inspection, the dishes in my cupboard were filthy. Disgusting (see pics) with food stains still on them. I see this as a huge red flag as far as germs go. There is no reason to trust that the persons staying the room will PROPERLY clean and sanitize the dishes and utensils they use

Both are significant negatives, but because the rest of the hotel is so amazing, these are easily overlooked...especially if you don't plan on using their dishes.

Bonus...Boston Pizza in the same parking lot. Delicious alternative to hotel cooked food :)
