Courtesy of Sanjel, I spent three nights at BCMInns in Lac La Biche. The room was massive, comfortable, clean, and came with what I feel was the best shampoo I have had in many years. It also came with a full kitchen, unfortunately I did not get time to do any cooking, but I will make time on my next stay, and maybe take advantage of some fresh fish from the beautiful lake.

I stayed here in early to mid June for a couple of weeks for work. The rooms are very clean. Each room has a mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, toaster, and dishes. I liked how there were two beds - had a gear bed and a sleeping bed. The shower did not get very hot and security in the rooms could be upgraded by installing a latch lock in addition to the deadbolt. Overall, a decent work hotel, in a good location, with helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, and an included breakfast. The continental breakfast was a little scaled back due to Covid restrictions, but was still very good. There was a variety of food including bread, bagels, french toast, waffles, granola bars, juice, coffee, and boiled eggs. The food was individually wrapped. The first morning we ate at the continental breakfast, the bowl of boiled eggs had two loose peeled eggs with no tongs to be found. Not sure if a guest put these in or what was happening...the next day the bowl was refilled with prepackaged eggs. The first thing I noticed when we were checking in was the front desk agent was not wearing a mask (mind you this is when the AB mask mandate was in place). With the plastic divider in place, I understand forgoing the mask, but it isn't very effective if you are talking to the customer around the divider. He proceeded to blow on the paper we signed (to dry the ink(?)) and said my room number quite loudly. As safety is very important to, I am sure, most guests, perhaps there could be an improvement on educating the staff on discretion by showing the room number instead of saying it out loud. One evening after returning from our job site, I discovered my room key did not work. I went to the lobby, she asked for my room number, and programmed a new key. I go back to my room and it doesn't work again. I go back to the lobby and it seemed like a few others were having the same issue. The front desk agent was extremely apologetic and informed us there was a system error. She seemed to be getting a little flustered (understandably so) and shuffled through a pile of key cards in a different area on her desk. She handed me one that had 000 written on it in sharpie. I tried my door and it worked. The 000 got me wondering - I tried and it opened my coworker's door and also turned the light green on both my neighbors' doors. I feel like this is a huge security concern. I understand the need and desire to solve problems and help guests, but I really don't think this was the best way. I still wonder how many others received housekeeping cards and what if they tried to access my room?

We stayed in the hotel on July 28 -31. The rooms were clean but the decor is a little dark. The beds were good and the pillows were excellent. Breakfast was scaled down due to COVID. We brought your dog and got a pet friendly room. The staff were very welcoming to us and to our pet. Also great WiFi.

I’ve been here many times over the years for our annual hunting trips, but this stay was different! We were recently evacuated from our home in Fort McMurray due to flooding! The staff are amazing! They want to help all the time! They helped with organizing meals for evacuees every evening! The room was spacious, clean, bathrooms were a good size! Great to have direct exit to the outside! Tons of parking! The laundry is self serve and FREE!!! They even have bbq’s for the guests to use! All the staff are great and go out of the way to make your stay the best it could be! It’s our home away from home for now! And I couldn’t think of a better place to stay in our time of need

Plenty of space in our double queen room. Clean and kitchen area has enough to make simple meals. The hot continental breakfast waa Great, 4 hot items, milk, tea, coffee and juice. Cereal, yogurt, bread for toast. Nice selection.

I’m a clean freak so I have been staying at the BCMI every week for 18 months. The cleanliness is impeccable. The complimentary breakfast is the best I’ve ever had with four hot dishes every day and the staff is absolutely fantastic. I travel because I have to, not because I want to and the Manager and her staff always make me feel like I’m at home. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

Me and my hubby stayed here for 1 night while visiting Lac La Biche over the weekend. They checked us in early, since they had a room available, which was nice. The room was clean, neat and spacious. It comes with a kitchenette, which has a two burner stove and enough kitchen supplies to cook a meal. The bathroom was also clean and spacious. The downside was that people smoke on the upper floor. They hang over the railing and drop cigarette ash and butts below, which all landed on our car's hood. I know there are signs saying no smoking in the rooms, but I think if people want to smoke, they should have designated areas for that. There is a free breakfast included. I didn't find their food appetizing, but my husband did, so I guess it's a matter of personal preference. They were also out of orange juice. I did like their coffee and their grapefruit juice was a nice substitution for the orange. All in all, very enjoyable stay with minor setbacks and a great deal when you are traveling on a budget.

Stayed 1 night in July 2018 while en route from Alberta to Saskatchewan. The room was large, clean and spacious, especially the bathroom which I love because it makes it easy to bath my toddlers. Our room also had a stocked kitchenette which came in really handy to prepare the kids a snack and pack a lunch for the next day. The free breakfast was also really good and they had a few items that you don't normally see in breakfast bars. Parking was a little tight, I had to move my vehicle in order to get my kids in and out of their cars eats, but most of the spots were energized which would come in handy in the winter. Would STay again.

The room decor could use a bit of an update, but overall it was clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Boston Pizza is across the parking lot but the rest of the town is little out of the way. At check in they had a doughnut and fruit for a welcome snack. I really enjoyed this touch.

Nice motel, across the parking lot from Boston pizza, very convenient. Rooms are equipped with a small kitchen which is nice to have when your in town for a few days. The breakfast is your standard bacon, eggs, sausage and hash browns with cereal and breads. Sometimes very noisy with large diesel trucks and semi’s starting early in the morning.
