My wife and I agree that this hotel felt more like home away from home than any other place we’ve stayed in the Caribbean. Both the owners and the staff were a real joy to know and their smiling faces brightened the already beautiful St Lucia weather. The owners are animal lovers and provide a home for three very sweet...

Following up on my earlier review, couple of things I forgot - and one I should have clarified! Apologies - my head probably wasn't working perfectly at the time, following my slight beach accident. First, when I mentioned the pool might need a bit of refurb - at the time we stayed, John was having some problems with the water...

We stayed three nights here in March. The Inn is very comfortable. It is not super luxury, but very clean, simple and cosy. Breakfasts delicious. the guest lounge is a lovely room to chill in with the most amazing views over magical Marigot Bay. The honesty bar always full and it was lovely to have a rum or a beer...

Thanks Ciara We enjoyed your visit - when our guests are happy, we are happy too! Being an innkeeper means meeting a lot of happy people on holiday and running a rather quirky establishment like ours seems to attract interesting and independent travelers who are fun to talk to. We were sorry about your accident, but I see from the...

Mango Beach Inn is a wonderfully quaint bed and breakfast with the most amazing view of the bay. Judith and John are fabulous hosts; nothing is too much trouble for them (including spending hours sourcing charcoal for our barbecue!), the staff are friendly and welcoming, we fell in love with the dogs and cats. The location is perfect: Marigot Bay...

Thank you so much! you were great guests, singing jazz classics with the band at our Rainforest Hideaway restaurant and teaching me new recipes - it was great, by the way! i should have asked our chef to show you how to prepare lionfish - although that is a bit tricky! better to let him do it! The great thing...

If you are looking for a quaint, quiet, isolated place where you can turn off your phone (if you want to), forget the telly and just chill out, this is the place. Tucked into the side of a hill with no vehicular traffic, the only access is by a two minute ferry ride (24 hour service and free to guests)...

Thank you Timothy for that comprehensive review. Please come back soon, we enjoyed chatting to you - one of the rewards of being an innkeeper is that our guests bring with them glimpses of their own fascinating lives and makes us feel a little less isolated while at the same time reminding us what a beautiful place we live in....

Stayed one night before boarding a ship. Lovely hospitality you would expect at a bed & breakfast. Love the view from the community space overlooking the bay! Enjoyed the dogs and cats - thankfully we were prepared with our allergy supplements. If I'd been traveling alone, I would have liked to hang there for a longer. Had the best food...

We have a lot of guests who stay with us because they are just about to join a sailing trip or just returning from one (or both). Mango Beach Inn is the only property to directly overlook the famous Marigot Harbour and the constantly changing scene featuring boats of all sizes from mega yachts to the banana seller on a...

Dear TripAdvisor, Having a WONDERFUL time here at "MANGO BEACH INN", in BEAUTIFUL Marigot Bay, St. Lucia! Since arriving here, the hotel's lovely English owners Judith and John Verity have made me feel so welcome (so to have their very nice staff) and I have felt so at home! This morning after a very peaceful, COOL night in my "Blue...

The English owners, John and Judith, have made a very comfortable and friendly inn tucked in amongst the trees and flowers (mango, bougainvillia, hibiscus etc etc) on the far side of Marigot bay. Access is by 24-hour water taxi - we only ever waited 5 minutes at most - and free to guests. The sandy beach with palm trees and...

Thanks to these guests who stayed a few weeks and used their time to explore the island - discovering some wonderful places I had never even tried myself (like the Des Cartiers trail). St Lucia is complex and has a depth of history and culture that most Caribbean islands don't - it all depends on how much you want to...

I stayed at this resort for one night before boarding an Island Windjammers cruise. Pros: Room was spacious, and the restaurant is considered one of the best on the island (although pricey). Judith, the owner, is also extremely nice and communicative; she goes out of her way to make sure you have made plans. There's also a nice pool. Cons:...

Thanks Chris. I would just say that our Restaurant, Rainforest Hideaway, is actually around the same price as other restaurants in the bay - and has twice been listed in the Trip Advisor Top Ten Fine Dining restaurants in the Caribbean and described as 'the most romantic restaurant in the Caribbean'. With regard to the beach (a 2 minute walk),...

Judith and her husband certainly go out of their way to make you welcome in this special retreat. Do not worry that it is on an island the ferry/access is very easy. Thanks for the review and for making the point that it's not difficult to get to Mango Beach Inn. The ferry runs pretty much 24 hours a day - you just have to tell the driver to wait up for you (no extra charge) if you plan to stay out after midnight. The great thing about being on the side...
