Detailed Reviews
Our family took our three trailers to Gold Mountain for the thanksgiving weekend of 2020. We had such a good time, we went back for this Easter weekend.
As usual, the campground was spotless and we were welcomed by Danny who helped us get parked. We had sites one, three and five and settled on five for the communal meeting/cooking/campfire place. We had some cold nights and early mornings but another log on the fire took care of that. The kids, ages between five and 11, had lots of things to do and our daily (sometimes twice) river walks were very nice. Every time Danny walked by, he made sure to give us a smile and a cheerful greeting. We felt very much at home as we did in 2020.
The campground was very quiet as one might expect at this time of year but in spite of there being few clients, Danny and his crew kept the place spotless!
We'll go back again!

Our entire family, my wife and I in our trailer and bother of our sons'with their families and in their trailers, camped here on the thanksgiving weekend. We had three pull through sites, fully serviced, than Danny put us in so we "owned" our own neighbourhood for the weekend. The weather was lousy, cold and rainy, but the company and the location more than made up for it. The campsite is fairly old but is kept very clean. Danny and the other folks keep a close eye on things and always have a smile for everyone. It is fairly laid back but more of a family place than a party place which suited us all just fine! The river is close and they are working hard on improving the trail from the campsite down to the water.
We'd love to go back here and are looking at when we might do this in better weather!

we stayed in this campground with a motorhome and really enjoyed our stay but the weather was very hot in the high 30s. the owners were very friendly and helpful. we sat out under the trees but found it hard to walk down to the water so didnt go down there more than once. once down you were able to sit in the water and relax without floating away. we didnt have to use the washrooms as we had everything with us but they were clean with covide rules applying. if we want to just relax and not too far from home we would go here again.

Not a happy camper, Gold mountain RV park and Cabins . I had to cancel because of fear of fire for a 4 day stay , I guess they are so poor at business they charged us for the 4 days that we were not able to attend because the highway was closed because of a fire. Said to us next time cancel earlier believe me when I say there will never be a next time Gold Mountain RV and Cabins poor business ethics.

We used to frequent this campground for many years while we had our 5th wheel. After a few years absence we decided to rent their trailer for several nights.
We were glad to find that the new owners (2nd season for them) were just as friendly and helpful has the two previous owners.
While the campground is a bit on the smaller side (25 sites), that is also part of its charm.
This is not a place to go to if you like to stay up late drinking around the campfire or playing your stereo (you might think that it is quiet, but for those who just want to listen to the breeze through the trees or the sounds of the river, it is loud).
Yes, you do hear the highway - but traffic is very light, especially at night. Most of the time we didn’t even notice it.
We plan on renting their trailer again next year.

Amazing owners who really care about the place and it’s visitors. River front spot with lovely views and sound. Quiet in the evening and full service RV to boot. Water and power and sani. Had booked in Provincial park down the rod but highway noise was unbearable. This place was an amazing alternative. Thanks for havingus

Stayed here for 2 nights, with two campers, as a trial run before heading south for the winter. Very nice, clean campground. Hosts were very nice. Easy access off the number 3 highway. Would definitely recommend this place.

We met Dave and Tracy as soon as we pulled up. They are the friendliest people you could ever meet ! The cabins are perfect. We stayed in three different ones, each a little gem of its own. The washrooms are extremely clean. The river is perfect for playing or relaxing by. There is wifi and cell service so it's very convenient, plus a little store for anything you may need. We were only supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up staying a week ! It's close enough to stay here and visit the surrounding towns. You won't be disappointed ! We will return here as often as we can. Thanks for the hospitality Dave and Tracy ....see you again ! Darrin and Oana
