My stay was good but few things could have been better. The hotel website stated that a full breakfast was offered. Due to COVID-19 only a grab and go was available. The website should brought up to date. The TV in my room was very hard to use. The chair at the desk in my room was broken.

My room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Stayed here for a team event. Typical Comfort Inn - clean, and affordable. The double bunk beds (which can sleep 4) in the family suite were a big hit with the kids. The pool has a waterslide. The team parents were visiting in the hall-way until about 9pm and that was fine with the staff which is nice. Not all hotels let you congregate in the hall to visit.
We did have an aggravating customer service issue which was resolved by the GM appropriately, however I was surprised to learn that the owner of the hotel was one of the people who observed our discontent, and didn't step in to enquire how he could help resolve the issue.
There were just a few rough-characters roaming the halls, and a smell of marijuana was present on our floor for the evening, but due to the nature of the work in the area I think that is to expected at all hotels in the region.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and hot tub. The hot tub jets were not working the night we were there but the maintenance man came and checked them and apologised profusely. When I asked about towels he went and got them from the front desk for us.

A suggestion would be that there should be a sign in the pool area saying that towels were available at the front desk.

The kids had a great time on the water slide. The waterslide really dominates the pool. When the slider comes out they are coming out almost to the center of the pool. If you have smaller children or not great swimmers they really need to stay well away from the slide area.

There is only one elevator and it is a little slow.

The breakfast is plentyful and fresh, with lots of good seating. It is more than continental with eggs, bacon, sausages and make your own waffles as well as the continental stuff.

After trying various hotels in the area we stayed at this hotel in Sylvan and found the beds to be the most comfortable of any hotel we've ever stayed in. With the most comfortable beds they also give their guests friendly service, clean rooms, continental breakfast, and good value for the rates.

Terrible service. Upon informing the staff that there were carpenter ants in our room try simply laughed and did nothing. For a hotel that you are paying $140/night you expect a level of professionalism and cleanliness. This hotel is comparable to a $40 motel except the motel has better service.

We recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Sylvan Lake. I will start off by saying that we requested an early check in and they were more than accommodating. However, overall, I was very disappointed. My standards are fairly high for hotels as we travel often, but the only things I expect are a) clean rooms and b) quiet rooms. We didn't have either of these during our stay. Our room was not clean. Upon arrival, the bedding was stained, the carpet wasn't vacuumed, and the furniture needed to be dusted. The sound proofing (or lack of) at this hotel is slim.... you can hear everything through the walls/ceiling. This includes (but is not limited to people walking/ running and toilets flushing. While I understand that plumbing is within the walls, the toilets flushing and showers running in other rooms were SO incredibly loud. Structurally, I know that things cannot be changed now, but shouldn't that be a priority when building the hotel?

That being said, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was decent, and the kids enjoyed the pool and slide. Because of the lack of sound proofing, I didn't sleep well. The cleanliness issue is also a concern to me. I do not think I will return.

Stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past 2 years and definitely won't again. Stayed with a hockey team (9-10 year olds) so we were a bit loud at times but rude, confrontational staff do not help. I would recommend them not booking groups if they can't handle it. Had a nice little $100 charge on my credit card the hotel never told me about until I got my statement a month later either. One of my daughters's was sick in one of the beds and there was apparently "extensive cleaning" that justified this charge. Nice to know this hotel sees fit to randomly charge your credit card once you've checked out, seems like good business to me. Definitely won't be back and will make sure as many sports associations and businesses that I am in involved with do the same. I get that some sports teams are hard work but if you don't want the $5000+ in revenue per weekend that each team probably brings in, I suggest you look for alternate forms of income and make that your policy.

Our stay at the Comfort Inn was excellent. The staff were helpful. Our room had a queen/double bunk bed as well as a king size bed and a pullout couch, so there was plenty of room for our large family.
