My friend and I stumbled onto this lovely place while travelling through Somerset. It was just delightful. We stayed in the old Abbot's Chapel. Melody looked after us so well. The food was great, the gardens were lovely and it was just such a peaceful place to stay. Melody kindly provided us with a copy of the history of the...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Old Priory Hotel as we were guests at a wedding nearby. We arrived late in the evening and this was no trouble at all for our host. We had planned to check out late and head on to the wedding mid afternoon before heading to our next destination and this late check...

We spent a beautiful 2 days in this hotel and were overwhelmed with the service offered to us by Melody. Nothing was too much for her and she made us feel completely at ease and at home in her hotel. I have seen other comments regarding the smaller portions at breakfast and I agree but i asked for more on...

The owners made us feel very relaxed and at home and nothing was too much trouble for them, especially Melody. Lovely garden and room to relax in. Food too was very good. Hotel was in a lovely position for small town it was situated in.

After struggling to find a hotel for the weekend that didn't break the bank we stumbled across The Old Priory. On arrival we were met by the owner who was very inviting and we had a drink in the beautiful garden. The hotel is very quirky, low ceilings, twisted stairs and uneven floors - when you read about the interesting...

We stayed at the Old Priory for two nights over a Bank holiday. The room was very clean and comfortable and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit and toast, together with home made marmalade. The full English breakfast was good, although the portions were slightly smaller than elsewhere, but this was not an issue...

As with many other reviews, I chose Old Priory from previous reviews. We were not disappointed when we arrived to a beautiful building and extremely warm, friendly welcome. Our host was waiting for us and took us immediately to our room (school room with four-poster bed) The room and bathroom were spacious, the bed comfortable with pristine white linen. Although...

I chose the Old Priory Hotel from reviews on TripAdvisor, and I wasn’t disappointed. Months ago I had originally booked three nights at the hotel, but for various reasons including an issue with our car, it ended up that unfortunately we were only able to spend one night, Monday 28th October. Melody had been great with my emails in the...

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel Saturday 12th October and were pleasantly surprised. Josh found the hotel browsing the internet trying to find a hotel close to Bath for an overnight stay. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very sweet lady who showed us to our room. The room was fine, clean and full of character with...

I must admit to have being a bit remiss, not penning a piece for TripAdvisor a little earlier, especially as I've become a regular guest of Melody and her husband at the Old Priory. If the name conjures up a sense of history, you'd be right. For it is a fine character property, but with suitably modern facilities in the...
