Turtle Bay Inn is beautiful, charming, comfortable, and extremely clean. All the things you hope for when booking a place to stay on your vacation. What really set them apart though, was the people who run this inn. They were so lovely and welcoming, and seemed to genuinely care about us having a good time there. Not just at the inn, but the things we did while we were there as well. They talked to us about our plans, gave tips along the way. They made sure we knew of all the factors that could impact our trip to the airport on our final day. They were literally the best. We enjoyed them so much that we spent the end of our evenings at the inn bar, chatting with them because we really enjoyed their company.
They also know how to make an excellent drink, with really fresh ingredients. That leads me into breakfast…. So fresh and tasty! They give you great options to choose from and you can even decide if you want to eat breakfast on the patio or have it delivered to your room.
They really know how to enhance a vacation! This was the best part of our trip in Puerto Rico. The beauty on this side of the island is insane. It’s a little bit cooler, which we loved! And swimming in the bioluminescence was unforgettable. 12 out of 10 recommend!

I am giving it 3 stars becuase the girls were very helpful at the front desk. Aside from that, for the price, I didnt find the hotel to be worth it. It lacked basic amenities such as coffee, tea, cups and the day we departed, there was nobody to leave the keys with and check out with. There is no route or access to the ocean, the closest beaches are a good 30 minute drive, and the food down the road was terrible. From a location standpoint, I wouldnt recommend. The pool in the hotel was tiny. There is little to do around the area, you must be prepared to get out there (30+ minutes) for activities. I thought were were staying at a luxurious hotel but it lacked basic amenities and was not worth the 150+ a night.

Almost everything about our stay was magical. The hotel provides an amazing experience with every detail thought out. Their charming and cozy patio is perfect for breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. While websites call this a 2-star hotel, I think that substantially under-values its amenities. I'd compare this more to a nice B&B experience. The staff are friendly, helpful, kind and welcoming, especially Elisa who represents the hotel well and goes above and beyond. The location is perfect for exploring the whole area, which we already want to return to. Unfortunately we would not stay here again, only because there was a dog barking right outside our window in the middle of the night that made it impossible to sleep. It's a small dog with a high-pitch "yap" that's hard to ignore when it gets going, even through earplugs with windows shut and the AC on. Talking to staff, it's apparently a known issue, and now I see a few reviews going back years that mention the dog. What a shame! Maybe nothing can be done, but if this was happening outside my bedroom at home, I'd consider the situation untenable and would do absolutely anything to rectify it. If you're thinking of staying here, I suggest asking if the dog is still their neighbor, and ask for a room away from the parking lot and room 4 (the one we stayed in), which seems to be closest to the dog's yard. If ever we learn that the dog is no longer an issue, we'll be excited to stay here again.

We loved the Villa Suite at Turtle Bay in La Parguera. Appropriately named, it was like a little villa, separate from the main building. A small swimming pool was right outside our door, available for others to use but we had it to ourselves. There was a lovely, small outdoor bar area where conversations could be held with other guests. We had a car which made it very convenient to get to a good, nearby bakery for breakfast, a laundromat and the main center for restaurants and water recreation. We did not see the other rooms so cannot comment but the staff was very nice.

We were very happy with our stay at the Turtle Bay Inn. Rooms were clean and comfortable and Angel and Shaylee were so friendly and helpful in every way. We appreciated getting beach towels to go to the beach and all the little things they did to make us feel welcome and "at home" at the Inn. One thing: this Trip Advisor description says breakfast is complementary but you actually do need to request it ahead of time and pay for it. One last thing: The Inn is walking distance to the dock where you take the boat to the bioluminescent bay. This was perfect for us since we did not relish the idea of driving at night since we are older and not familiar with the roads in the area.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in Turtle Bay Inn in July 2022. It's a simple hotel with minimal facilities, furniture, etc, but many hotels in La Parguera seem to still be closed, so we were happy that Turtle Bay was open. The COVID panic hit hard in Puerto Rico, it seems, but the surviving hotels are open again.
The staff at Turtle Bay were very friendly and helped us with our small requests. For example, we needed a work surface for our laptops and the staff brought a small table to our room. They also let us use the hotel laundry equipment for a small fee. The A/C worked well and there is a secure place to park. Overall this is a good place to stay when in La Parguera for birding or whatever reasons.

From San Juan ideally you should rent a car at airport. Driving time thru south route is 2 hrs. Taxis can take you to Lajas but will charge $200 Aprox one way.
There are two airports closer to La Parguera: one is ithe Mercedita in Ponce and the other one is Borinquen in Aguadilla. Driving time Aprox 45 minutes to an hour. Ponce is definitely closer. Jet blue flights into Ponce and Aguadilla
There are more places to choose from in the La Parguera area.
