We've stayed here several times under previous owners and were pleasantly surprised to see that Terrace Suites had reopened yet again. We got a two bed suite with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom and a murphy bed in the living room. Both beds were comfortable and the room itself was nicely renovated with a good sized bathroom and shower. It would have been nice to have a place in the shower to place your shampoo/soap and the coffee machine only produced a sludgy expresso-style mix of lukewarm water, but on the whole the experience was quite good. FWIW, skip the complimentary breakfast. They try hard, but it's not really appetizing and there are plenty of other places in the area to get some decent grub.

Our stay at Terrace Suites is always memorable! The most friendly and accommodating service you can ask for. The view of Callander Bay was incredible to wake up to and to watch the sunset at the end of a day, there may be no better view in the area to do so!
The back patio view is a well kept golf course that was enjoyable to play over our week’s stay. We appreciated the loan of golf clubs as we did not travel with our sets. Thank you Kostas!
The unit look newly renovated, yet had a rustic cabin feel, which is very comforting, especially considering the amount nature surrounding the property! You really do feel isolated, yet we could take a short walk to Callander for meals/drinks and beaches! After travelling a lot this summer I can honestly say the King size beds at Terrace Suites were the most comfortable in all our stays! Hadn’t slept that sound in a very long time. Blackout curtains are a nice touch as well. We truly did feel at home and it’s quick drive to North Bay, although we did decide many days to just stay put and enjoy the property.
We used the new bbq’s throughout the week, and on a summer night nothing beats a bbq and a glass of vino/pint.
Air conditioning was pleasant to come back to after hot sunny days out…and the fireplace made the unit feel much like sleeping in a cabin. All and all our stay at the Terrace Suites was the highlight of our trip to Ontario! We’ll be back and looking forward to our next stay! Thank you to the property staff (you were all amazing) for making our stay another memorable one! B&L

I was hesitant to book this hotel at first as it is listed on the HWY.
We were doing a 9 day road trip of North/West Ontario instead of our plans of Europe in these crazy times. "Discover Ontario" Summer for us and we had never ventured to North Bay and area.
Loved it! The resort is on a hill overlooking Callander Bay, just beautiful view from any room We stayed on the second floor which has a long railed porch across all of the rooms so you can stand outsite and enjoy the view.
The rooms are super clean and very spacious and a great price at $125 a night for a Queen. You have a separate leaving area with small kitchen area (sink, microwave, coffee machine), separate bedroom and a private deck out the back overlooking the parking lot and forest.
You don't hear the HWY from your room and realistically its 2 lanes and limited traffic, all you really look at is the expanse of Callander Bay.
We ate at the restaurant and they really did the COVID spacing well, all the doors to the outside patio were open.
We had an incredible meal - Huge steak dinner with extra mushrooms, amazing appetizer and their cesear salad was wonderful. We also ordered a bottle of wine that was out of stock, but they provided an even nicer one at a reduced cost. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the service, they really care about their customers. Note, you need to make reservations for dinner.
After dinner we went out to the fire pit, it was just us! Very nice touch.
I would highly recommend this gem in the woods.

Room was freezing when we arrived, took 4 hours to warm up.
Zero hot water in morning.
Disgusting breakfast.
Nobody on site after hours,
Exterior doors to the building were unlocked-major security concern.
When we told them about the no hot water issue, they were of no help. They were apologetic and promised a full refund but we never got it.
When I called the next day, and several other times, I was only offered 10 % discount for the troubles. The manager and owner were never available to talk to me and never returned my calls.
Will not return and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

My husband and I decided to spend the night in North Bay, and when we can we try to find lodgings that are independently owned, especially after the last couple of years. So, if you are someone like us, then Terrace Suites is the place for you. They are still in the renovation process, but what they have done so far is great. We stayed in room 213, had a lake view and the room was so cute.
Beautiful bathroom (yes I would have liked more counter space but really not a big deal). Small fridge with freezer, microwave and Nespresso machine. Very comfortable king size bed and pillows (and we are picky about that).
Small sectional and you could swivel the TV to face the bed.
Very clean.
Six minutes to the Casino and 15 min to the waterfront.
Would have no problem recommending this hotel to friends and would definitely stay there again.

This renovated property has a great view of the lake & is minutes away from downtown Norh Bay.The staff are beyond friendly & helpful. Rooms are spotless. Sunsets over the lake are visible out the rooms window!

Terrace Suites is the only place I stay when going to Callander. The view is spectacular. The rooms are beyond comfortable with fireplace that can be viewed from the living room and bedroom. The Manager Marina is just a sweet heart...she goes out of her way to please everyone. I plan a return visit very shortly!!

Just one word explains this Northern Gem, Exceptional! This was our 2nd visit to this quiet, beautiful, renovated resort! The room was so clean and comfortable with great wifi. The view of the lake is fantastic and the sunsets are so breathtaking. Marina and her staff are so friendly and helpful, always with a smile. The golf course is so beautiful and we went for walks everyday sighting many species of birds, a definite plus for nature lovers. Beaches are nearby and the city of North Bay is close as well. I am looking forward to returning next year for my summer get away! Terrace Suites is your home away from home!

The perfect stop on the way through Ontario! We stayed in a jacuzzi suite for one night. So accommodating regarding pets, late check in and early check out. The suite was gorgeous, cozy, shower was great and bed was super comfy. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and hope to get a chance to return.

On a clear night, the night sky view rivals the day. Upon arrival, I was asked if I needed help with my luggage. Every time I entered the building, the door was opened for me. A large outdoor fire burned brightly when I returned at night. The smell alone adding to the ambiance. I’ve stayed at many hotels in the area and always wanted to stay here. This is the only one I would take the time to write a review about and it was worth the wait.
