Back again for the umpteenth time, usual fabulous welcome from Karolyn and Chris, usual fabulous breakfast. Weather cold and wet this time but this did not dampen the warmth of the visit. Autumn in this neck of the woods is spectacular and the approach road to Disblair is an experience in itself ....... Drew

We spent two nights here on a recent trip around Scotland. At first we wondered if we had the right place; it is down a long track off a quiet lane, but having found it, we could not have received a better welcome from Chris and Karolyn. Our room was large, with a great bathroom. Breakfast was superb, all cooked...

My wife, 3 kids, and I stayed one night here. Middle of nowhere with wildlife and farm animals. Awesome old house with huge rooms. Karolyn and Chris were super nice, and breakfast was unbelievable. Huge and delicious. Felt like we were staying at a good friend's place, not a business. They invited us back for a cup of tea if...

We spent a fantastic long weekend at Disblair House Hotel in great comfort. Many thanks to Karolyn and Chris for being such fantastic hosts; they really made us feel at home and catered to our every need. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious (particularly the porridge!). We were also lucky enough to have the 'family room' with the four-poster bed to...

Amazingly private bed and breakfast tucked away on a wooded road that opens up into large rolling hills with horses grazing happily out the bedroom window. My son and I stayed in the four poster bedroom, it was a very large room also included a twin bed for family travel. Awesome private bathroom! The stone building dates back to 1510...

Fantastic find!! (Though not easy to find the first time if you arrive in the dark like we did!!) Big old house (1600s? I can't remember.) Filled with fantastic collection of antiques & ornaments. (Particularly check out the Da Vinci replica one handed clock in the entrance lobby - could watch it for hours!) Very big bedroom and also very...

What an amazing find for my business trip to Newmachar! I could get in my normal hotel for the week I was here, and I'm so glad I didn't. A quick look on Tripadvisor and I found this place. After staying here I won't stay anywhere else when I'm this way with work! Chris and Karolyn welcome you as old...

Chris and Karolyn are most welcoming hosts, and make you feel at home immediately. The twin bedroom was immaculate, and included a lush towelling bath robe, and little tartan bonnet containing a chocolate! Tea and coffee making facilities, along with a little flask of fresh milk, and everything one required in the ensuite. We had our evening meal at a...

Staying at Disblair House was a great experience and Chris and Karolyn made me feel at home right away. Akin to staying with your aunt and uncle. The house is very convenient to Aberdeen airport but is located on a quiet country lane, lost in time and full of peace and tranquility. The interior is an eclectic mix of styles...
