The guest house wasn't too bad to find the postcode on my sat nav took me close but not to it. A local pointed it out. The room was nice and had a good shower. We had a nice breakfast and checking in/out was easy. The owner was a quiet man of few words that did surprise me at first...

My 2 friends and I have just spent 2 days b and b at Norwood whilst visiting a weekend conference at Whalley Abbey. Stuart made us very welcome and we each had a double room with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was warm clean and quiet with every facility. Tea and coffee, a TV, free Wi-Fi,...

I found this place very very welcoming. The owner was friendly, sociable and very helpful. I was only there for one night and I had the best nights sleep for months. Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The room was perfect. Superb breakfast the following morning. I'll definitely book this place if I'm ever in the area...

Having read positive reviews about this place I can only think I caught the owner on a bad day. He noticed my mini bus in the car park and asked me to move it as other cars could not get in, all the time I was there no other cars arrived, the room was very good in fairness clean comfortable although...

Stayed for four nights whilst visiting relatives in the area. My single room had everything I wanted - television, hair dryer, dab radio, tea/coffee etc. The bed was very comfortable. An excellent choice for breakfasts - from a light continental to full English which was well cooked and served piping hot on a hot plate. It would be difficult to...

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with the room which was well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely and quiet (we were in room 3). Wifi was also available. The cooked breakfast was very good. Stuart gave good advice on where to eat and drink. The...

Spent 2 nights at the B&B nights of 16-17 January 2016. Comfortable double ensuite room, warm and well equipped. We had room 4 which was very compact and the WIFI signal was very weak, some road noise but not too intrusive. Our travelling companions had room 3 and they said it ticked all the boxes including tranquility, room size, comfort,...

My brother and I went to Rawtenstall for our aunts 100th birthday party last weekend. Space was at a premium at my aunts so we booked in at the Norwood. The manager and his wife were polite and courteous, the rooms we booked were warm and comfortable, breakfast was almost a feast. Neither my brother nor myself could find fault...

Arrived as planned to find no one was in. Called the number provided and no answer, we tried again 45 mins later and finally got through, we explained we have been waiting nearly an hour in the bloody cold. He then suggested we found alternative accommodation. I understand that he had personal commitments but why didn't he explain this when...

As you will see by the language even used in the review. none of our staff deserve swearing at under any circumstances and this greatly upset other customers and staff with the agressive and uncalled for behaviour of the writer of the review . We will not allow disruption for any of our guests and we ask that if you...

I arrived late due to heavy traffic and poor directions given by the manager. On arrival the manager said that I had been rude and he could not therefore accommodate me. He was very rude and aggressive and refused to refund my payment. I am 79 rears of age and have stayed in countless B&Bs, this was the very worst....

Please do not arrive in the early hours, make no attempt contact us and then think it acceptable to wake people up and swear at staff, the man is a disgrace more over at his age the guest should be respectful.
