Lovely old-fashioned hotel, as charming as it gets. It has a great in-house restaurant with fabulous food and the staff couldn't be nicer. There is even an indoor pool to keep the little ones occupied. Would love to go back there; highly recommended!

Really nice Chateau-hotel in a historic building, in a spectacular area. Old-fashioned charm and courtesy from everyone we came across. Individually furnished rooms, and very good food. We really liked the red dining room with log fire and candelabras.

My wife and I have visited the Chateau d'Ayres many times. It is a very special place. The chateau itself is splendid and the rooms are very comfortable, each with its unique style and furnishings. The food is exceptional and the service prompt and friendly. The facilities are excellent, especially the outdoor and indoor pools. The setting is incomparable; the...

The hotel location is just perfect, secluded from Meyrueis and close enough the major footpaths or local site-seeing. The house in itself has a very nice architecture, an indoor and outdoor swimming-pool, nice (although old-fashion) decoration. However, furniture are outdated, broken for some of them, and not fixed although notified (we spent 3 nights there with a missing light bulb...

Just important to say that orange juice is done with fresh fruit -neither concentrated nor industrial. We try the best for you and for the stability of our house. At least to be here to receive you again. With our best regards JF DE MONTJOU

Very relaxing and pleasant stay. Like stepping back in time. Unfortunately my 18 year old daughter did not appreciate the history or period surroundings, Wonderful chef and wine selection. Medium walk into Meyerueis town but well worth it.

Good location but chateau needs a lot of work to maintain it in the state it deserves. Until this is done not worth the money. Food could be improved especially the breakfast which was particularly poor.

Are you sure to be quite objective? What was lacking at breakfast? You did not say anything at the servant. She is on spot just to bring you what you like. When you leave the house, you did not say anything about that. What can we do to be better? JF DE MONTJOU

The chateau sits above the attractive town of Meyrueis. Many interesting and genuine 'salons' inside. A huge staircase leads to the two floors of bedrooms. All rooms are en suite; the tower room was used by Gen de Gaulle and President Ardenaur. The is a large modern heated swimming pool at the back. Meals are served under candlelit candelabra. We...

Yes the grounds are nice, yes the old house is impressive but this place has been let go. The furnishings are all very tired, the paintwork is in very poor condition and the outdoor pool was more like a murky pond. This could be forgiven if everything else was spot on but sadly not. Our dated bathroom could not have...
