This is a superb restaurant of great quality and superb food. A good place for a special treat. Imaginative cuisine in elegant surroundings with caring staff. Our meal there will be discussed many times with our friends
Like the restaurant we stayed here on the recommendation of friends. Our reception was good and our room perfectly adequate. It was relatively small with an on suite that smelt of drains. The bed was comfortable the wifi did not work very well. There are two sections to the hotel with the Clovis being about 200 metres away from the old hotel and that is where a great breakfast at a very reasonable price is served. Despite my criticisms we will stay there again next time we pass the town is pleasant and the car boot sale in the park the next morning was the biggest we have seen. The line dancing in the park the night before interesting. The hotel was cheap and good value.
Our room at the Clovis was a good size, spotless, and well-appointed, the bedding was comfortable and a second pillow was available in the cupboard. The separate toilet and shower/washbasin were also spotless. Hairdryer available, as well as towel warmer, and facial tissues, in addition to the usual mini soaps and soap mousse in the shower. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and gave us a ground-floor room, since my husband is visually handicapped. We didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant, but we won't miss coming back in the future, and take the time to explore the area as well. Vouillé is a charming little town.
Yes it's a short walk from the Cheval Blanc to the Clovis and you do have to let yourself in but we thought that overall this was a really good experience. The staff were extremely helpful and changed our room for us when my wife's back struggled with the stairs. The setting for dinner was delightful and the meal outstanding both in quality and value.Breakfast too was more than adequate. There is a good walk around the park area behind the hotel and the little town is worth a stroll
We found this to be a first class hotel in a really clean and pretty French town. Situated right by the river and a short walk to everything. The accommodation was spacious, clean, and well looked after, the food was above the standard normally found and well presented, the staff were also very helpful and attentive. We would certainly be happy to return. It is also well placed for getting to Poitiers and the surrounding area including Futuroscope.
