Wanted to camp for one night passing through the area. Had to pay to enter the park but when I saw the camping site I did a u turn and got out of there. No refund. No grass (next to a huge freshwater dam ??) just dusty camping spots. There are braai facilities, not next to your campsite as is...

We arrived not knowing what to expect as we did a booking over the phone and had no access to the internet to check for photos or recommendations. We were greated friendly and as we wanted to camp we were offered to first view camping area as they were not completed yet. We were offered a bungalow instead for a...

We had a huge family bungalow for the 2 of us, as NWR said that nothing else was available - it turned out that the place was half empty! Anyway it was spacious, modern and clean, and very comfortable with a big kitchen and lounge too. For us the highlight was the reservoir below, with its many birds, notably pelicans....

Very comfortable accommodation on a hill overlooking the Hardap dam. Newly refurbished and well run. Restaurant average but fine. Great game drive in the nearby Hardap Game reserve. Beautiful sunsets nearly every day. Stayed in the family units.

If you have a nostalgic hankering for communist hospitality, then this could be the place for you. To be fair the rooms have been refurbished well, but it kind of ends there. The service was in part surly, in part neutral, but overall inefficient, our extra mattress for the kids arrived at almost 10pm, no doubt some overtime there. The...

We are a family of five and could stay in one of the Dormitories. Everything was neat and clean and fresh smelling. The recent renovations was superbly done. The bathrooms were excellent with lots of hot water from the many new solar geysers. The views over the dam are beautiful and the many tame rock rabbits on a rock outcrop...

We stayed at the Hardap Dam chalets twice on the way to and from a trip on the Orange River while visiting family in Namibia. We last stayed here over 20 years ago and we were very impressed with the improvements to the resort. The service is friendly and helpful. The chalets are spotless and beautifully but simply furnished with...

The resort staff were really friendly and helpful, the service at the restaurant was excellent and the dinner was really nice. The breakfast buffet however did not have a big selection but was not bad. The chalet we stayed in was very neat and clean with an awesome view.

Hardap lodge is still in the beginning phase of set up and there is not much to do here, however my review is more based on the service. We had aN accident on the way to hardap lodge from Sossusvlei and could only arrive after midnight. The lodge manager was accommodating and waited for us until we arrived. We found...

At the recommendation of Namibian Tourism Board in Cape Town who said that the resort was fine, we booked to camp at the Hardap Dam resort in November 2010. We eventually arrived via Etosha and Windhoek, but when the reception staff advised us to look at the site before booking in, we thought there might be a problem... The site...
