Come for a week from October 21 to October 28.
Stay won on a Radio.
We had added 168 euros to have a premium mobile home (knowing that the mobile home for the stay was a Classic, we wanted decent accommodation...), the accommodation was at the top, like new with a beautiful terrace with a corner dining and lounge area. The only downsides, when we arrived the hob and the hood were dirty, I had to remove the shower drain to remove all the hair (obviously never done and clogged with all the hair of the season... The staff cleaning should not know that cleaning the bathroom also means cleaning thoroughly), no mattress pads (on going to the Homair reception they provided us with them), stained mattress. When booking, we were informed of two towels per person when in reality it was one per person. The mobile home was close to the toilets (a little higher up), the doors were slamming, a blower was making a crazy noise (luckily we were in October because in high season, with the windows open, it must be a bit annoying . Sheets on the beds in a laundry bag at the top.
The Homair staff was very friendly upon arrival and departure. The gentleman during the week gave us a few places to visit, he took all the time necessary to chat with us.
We appreciated the little gift in the mobile home upon our arrival (Olive Oil and Honey Gift Box). The WiFi included in the price of accommodation does not work.
On the campsite side, the restaurant is average... That said, the staff is friendly. We were two adults and two teenagers and we made the effort to speak Spanish, the staff helped us and we laughed a lot when we went there but it was a good moment of sharing. The head of the room is very very helpful.
The highlight is still the swimming pool at 10 euros per person only from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We came for the swimming pool with the slides, it was closed!!! Hats off during the school holidays!!! Only one was open (restaurant side) icy so it was impossible to swim.
No entertainment!!! I find this incredible when the campsite was largely occupied. This is not tolerable for a campsite. We were bored at this campsite.
The campsite is very, very well maintained and so are the sanitary facilities.
The grocery store... The staff without a smile, not a word. Very expensive fruits and vegetables, the rest good for emergency supplies, bread and pastries are perfect and there are some on the shelves and often hot.
To visit: Tarragona but avoid the little line, a great scam to see nothing), Sitges is magnificent both during the day and in the evening. Barcelona, beautiful walks to do, small preference for the Gothic quarter, great!!!

We spent a pleasant week at this campsite in a chalet for 4 people.
We particularly appreciated the location of the campsite (a few minutes by car from the beach and around 45 minutes from Barcelona), the terrace without too much overlooking, the television with 7-8 French channels, the air conditioning with these strong heat, the very good maintenance in the campsite paths, the swimming pool even if a little crowded at the end of the day and the choice and quality in the restaurant. Note the staff who speak French at the reception, very appreciated when you do not master English or Spanish.

On the other hand, we paid 20 euros for WiFi access, which we didn't use in the end due to a very poor connection.
Furthermore, a little too much waiting and mostly not very smiling servers at the restaurant in the evening.

I recommend this campsite if you want to enjoy the surrounding beaches and Barcelona.

Clean, well-maintained campsite lots of greenery
entertainment less good than 4 years ago more shows on weekends than music and not a DJ as written on the activity panels and in two weeks we saw the same flamenco show... Otherwise different clown magicians for children who make them participate and speak several languages which is appreciable
For the swimming pool, big black spot, too many balloons and mattress buoys in the swimming pool, my husband and I received a balloon in the face in two days and an inflatable buoy in the shape of a pizza, so big enough to drown my daughter who was under the water and the buoy were above it I find it very dangerous if I was not next to it I imagine what could have happened
Lots of deckchairs around the pool and parasol
The restaurant is very good for the price but not enough staff you have to wait easy 20min for the bill once you ask
The supermarket is good and not very expensive compared to the store we have quite a choice
The bedding was excellent, first time we had a real mattress while camping. Facilitator less bilingual than before and who lacks a little motivation for some, does not explain the instructions to the French and asks parents to stay to watch the children, this should be implemented according to the age of the child
We dropped off our almost 9 year old daughter and came to pick her up
Before when the child came first in the medal he was rewarded either with mini golf or with the trampoline, too bad it was nice but now participation medal for all that's good
We needed a can opener, the staff bought one for us and we got it in the afternoon, very responsive staff

We will surely return to this campsite next year

Unfriendly reception staff
On Saturday arrival, a crazy crowd even in April…. We queue like at the deli!!
An obnoxious hostess gives us the procedure to follow... only one person can enter to do the paperwork.
The tourist factory!
Summer must be horrible!

Chalet (green mobile home) first price poorly insulated and poorly located…
An energy sieve!
An air conditioning heater that has difficulty working (3 reminders for this at reception!)
In short
Low end
The price is not worth the trip...
Spartan furniture…
Not even a strainer, very few utensils, not even a wooden spoon, no stemmed glasses
Porous and disgusting garden table
Tasks that don't go away
Indoor dining area only chairs.. (no sofa) it's more than uncomfortable

Mobile planned for 5,,,, I pity those who occupy with this number
They are on top of each other because in reality the interior is 25 m2 and the terrace is 10 m2!

The beautiful photos of the swimming pool with slide for children but under construction and impassable (unheated and not accessible in April)

The visibly heated indoor pool! They forget to mention in their description that it’s 10 euros per person per session… a good big budget if you’re a family!
Everything is paid for! The bus, the swimming pool etc…

Uninteresting seaside resort
Ugly

Region with little to discover
Except Barcelona at 40 km

In short, I advise against
Opt instead for the region before Barcelona which is much prettier

I'll start with the positives:
- the campsite is really beautiful. Well maintained and wooded. The big positive point of this campsite
- flush with the spacious mobile home terrace. Very functional.
- several play areas for children, very enjoyable.
- the shuttle to Barcelona: that's really amazing. With many schedules during the day.

On the other hand, very big drawbacks:

- paid indoor swimming pool and above all overpriced: €10/person per access. So clearly we don't go there every day! And it's a shame in October to have to pay so much to swim.
In fact, remember that everything costs money. Even the small cleaning kit costs 3 euros.

- the reception: I am annoyed because we came across a very kind gentleman when we arrived but he was the only one.
We asked reception what there was to visit nearby. Answer: go to the tourist office. I tell her we'll go there of course but if she had some cool city names. Answer: no, go to the tourist office. Honestly, it's the first time we've been rebuffed like this on a campsite. I would point out that there was no one at reception; I would not have allowed myself to monopolize this type of request if it was a rush.
At the campsite restaurant it's not better. Never seen before, we asked for a syrup for our daughter and it was served to us without water. And yes you pay for the syrup and then the bottle of water!!

With a friendlier welcome I would easily be upgraded to 4 stars.

-Supermarket closed during our week.

So here is my objective opinion on this campsite. You won't have a bad holiday there, that's for sure, but for a campsite of this type and price it seems to me that things need to be improved.

We went with a large group, were delayed at our airport and arrived very late at night. The team were so welcoming, having kept dinner for us after checking us all in.

The cabins had two bedrooms, one with bunk beds and one a double, plus a living/dining/kitchen space between them.

There were steps up to the restaurant and bar, but there was also a slope. Two outdoor pools by the bar area (one being refurbished), plus another the other side of the park. And a stage area.

The staff were so accommodating, keeping the bar open later for our large group on our last night.

The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.

Would definitely happily go again as a family.

Bus from the gate goes into Vilanova, buy a 10 ticket pass from the souvenir shop as it's much cheaper than buying on the bus.

We spent a week in Catalonia to visit the region in the off-season. The regular return coach service to Barcelona is very convenient and inexpensive. The taxi ride between the bus stop and Park Guell at €11.20 was easier for two people than the bus and metro, and almost the same price per person. Departing from the campsite by car, the route to the Cistercian monasteries is pleasant. Find out about the slightly restricted opening hours of the monasteries to make the most of them. The campsite is large, clean and well organized. There is also a bus to the beach, it is more practical than parking by the sea, even in autumn. The Mas Roquer restaurant is good and inexpensive. Excellent stay.

All in all, can’t complain - we booked through the sun holidays so this was a super cheap trip away for us, we ended up only staying for half but only due to the amount of steps we had got in! we stayed friday - tuesday, upon arrival we got a buggy to our accom, it was clean and tidy, only issue we had was the shower tray had split but i didn’t make this known as honestly i couldn’t be bothered with the faf.

you need comfy shoes. you WILL walk for miles & miles if you want to do anything, the sun wasn’t as hot as i like so we ended up going in to vilanova each day & a day in barcelona, i totalled about 60,000 steps.. (this is why we left 🤣)

you can get a ticket for the bus from the gift shop, it’s cheap & then you can just pop in and out of town. it’s easy enough to figure out, the pool was *FREEZING* probably not to bad if it was hotter but it was very cold. i wouldn’t return, not because i had a bad time but just due to it not fitting our wants/needs in a holiday.

Due to poor organization at reception, long wait on arrival, cleaning not done in the mobile home so really dirty I point it out and the response: cleaning is not included, it's up to you to do it! I am willing when leaving but not on arrival. In short I clean, then only one unusable frying pan (mobile home for 6) 1 burnt saucepan, I return to reception where I get a frying pan and saucepan, thank you madam she offers me to send someone to clean! too late I did it, no disposable mattress cover Otherwise the campsite is nice, but too big for my taste one of the 2 swimming pools is poorly maintained: dirt on the water line and very dirty deckchairs, too bad this very shady campsite by magnificent trees and palm trees deserves to be taken better care of

I would like to make public the situation that we experienced a few days ago at Camping Vilanova Park, in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
My wife and I have a motorhome and we have been going there very regularly for years.
On August 10, we received extremely unpleasant treatment from, specifically, the person in charge of the reception. We were on a plot for a week with our grandson, and on August 10 his parents came to pick him up. The day before we personally went to the reception to notify them and they would let them access with the car for half an hour so they could pick up their son, all the clothes, toys and bicycle. They told me there was no problem.
On the 10th, when they arrived, we went to the reception so that there really were no setbacks. We were talking to one of the receptionists when the person in charge, without even getting up from the chair, and shouting, told his worker that under no circumstances should the barrier be raised if the amount equivalent to a one-day stay, €30, was not paid.
In recent years we have been to numerous campsites in Catalonia, many of them of a higher category than Vilanova Park, and they have always given us the option (free) of being able to bring a vehicle in to collect bags and belongings. Even for a duration much longer than half an hour.
Common sense tells you that you cannot charge €30 to pick up a person since you will not be using any facilities, and as we are traveling in a motorhome, it is clear that we cannot carry 4 full bags and a bicycle to the entrance. .
In any case, and despite the incongruity of wanting to charge us such an amount, the most outrageous thing is the actions of the person in charge of the reception, who was not at all up to what is expected of a person who must ensure dignified treatment. to his clients.
We will not return again. It is evident that they will not miss us, but we wanted to record the situation experienced. They have been going for many years, and it is a shame that they do not have staff with enough empathy to treat customers.
