I fell in love with the outer architecture when I saw the building. The interior has definitely seen better days. I got an overall feeling of a lack of care - everything functions, it's just not "nice". Part of the staff make up for this, though. Had my pocket square pressed in a jiffy while I was out for lunch...

It's seems to have been built for a resort like type hotel, but it's sort of a basic hotel. We had a clean large room with 2 large beds. Nothing fancy, but it was large, clen and comfortable. The bathroom worked except some minor issues with the toilet seat and being pretty basic, but didn't see anything too bad about...

The hotel was everything I could want from a 4* Brazilian hotel. The staff, the restaurant, the pool were all perfectly acceptable. The star of the show for me, who arrived at 02:00 a.m. was the smiling, energetic and quick off the mark bellboy, who hoisted my heavy backpack cheerfully as soon as I stepped out of the taxi. Breakfast...

Stayed here for a mates wedding with the reception being held in one of the main event rooms. Hotel is nice, clean and quite cool although the corridors are not air-conditioned. The grounds were a bit worn out but there seemed to be some refurbishments going on. Hotel room was fine and the bathroom was clean and functional. We managed...

This place gets some very mixed reviews, and I guess that is right: it has some good features and some bad ones - it depends which ones hit you the most. Essentially, it seems to be a hotel that originally had good intentions but is now struggling in several areas. It needs some new investment and attention to details. We...

This place was terrible. The internet never worked, we had no power for one day, and no hot water for two days. The pool water was dirty, meaning there was a disintegrated sandwich and plastic bag floating in the water for two days. When we left to check out, they charged us extra for having more than one person in...

Checked in at 3 a.m., since that is when my flight arrived. At check in counter I had to wake up the front desk kid, who was asleep in the corner. Got to my room, exhausted, and when I went to brush my teeth the water from the sink was brown. (Two colleagues also had same issue in their rooms)....

Very courteous staff and service oriented! Rooms are spacious and clean. Very nice fitness center and pool. Location is very good, near restaurants and nightlife. Historical center also nearby 10 min. by car.

“There is a trade-off between room-with-balcony and room-with-extra-interior-space. Depends what you prefer. We would have much preferred a balcony.”
