Only here for 5 days for a quick getaway, Staff in reception are super helpful and friendly, rooms are nice and clean, beds are very comfortable, view are spectacular from, its up in the mountains 5min drive or so to beach and port, car is definitely needed staying here, Resturant/bar staff are fantastic, food and drinks are super cheap, can have a meal and a drink for less than €10 per person, will definitely come back, cheaper than hostel types hotels in tarifa where we have stayed in the past when I go for a quick getaway surf trip, 40min drive to tarifa for my kitesurfing and 30m drive to restaurants and shops in Marbella (for the wife), Loads of great restaurants in the nearby area, so no need to go far also nearby beaches are great
When we arrived we greeted by the receptionist. Later at 8pm we went to the bar and planned to have dinner. there was no one at the bar to serve and couldn't find the restaurant. We went to the receptionist who told us it was nothing to do with him. he told us he worked there 10 years but still couldnt explain why there was no staff or restaurant. bizarre. We booked 2 nights and left after the first night. Dreadful place
Arrived at 1430h and were able to check straight in. Had a duplex which consists of parking and 1 bedrooms and bathroom downstairs (some quite scar stairs up) and the sitting room, kitchen, bedroom ,bathroom and balcony on the second floor with another entrance. Pros are beautiful clean apartment with fantastic views. Great little pool and pool bar reasonably priced. Cons would be no hairdryer or iron must be hired (payment and deposit). The self catering utensils are slightly limited (no spatula or breakfast bowls) Really didn't like the stairs from down to up but you can go out and up the main stairs if need be. It would have been nice to have a shuttle bus/car to take you down to Sabinillas as its 10€ per way in a taxi and the town has no large taxis (so 2 taxis each way!) Sabinillas is a beautiful beach town with lots of chringutos and bars and restaurants. They have a market on a friday. Puerta duquesa is a nice port for daytime wandering. At night it becomes extremely British and has a lot of street sellers (keen to sell to you at the dinner table) Great little spot!…
Situated at the top of a steep hill some 2 km inland from the beaches you will need a car to get anywhere. The in house dining options are non existent and it felt as though it had been a while since anyone had spent any money on refurbishing the rooms. Yes, my room was large and clean but very dated. The balcony provided a nice view of a large air conditioning unit with the coastline in the background. The pool is impossibly small given the number of apartments it is servicing and I shudder to think of visiting this establishment in the height of summer when it is busy. The only highlight was very helpful and courteous front desk attendant who looked scarily like the English tennis player Annabel Croft.
