Check in was easy and we were greeted by friendly staff. However we were not aware of the tourist tax- this is not the Resort's fault though! The room was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed and even came with shampoos and conditioner which was helpful considering we could not bring bottles over 100mL.
Lovely pool although it was a little chilly at times. The beds were very comfortable and cleaners even came once during our stay to change bedding and clean which wasn't expected- this was a nice surprise. The only downfalls were concerning the actual building itself. During the storm one of the bedrooms was leaking quite a lot which woke us up and left quite a large puddle. As we were on the ground floor, water was coming through the front door, but I guess this was something that couldn't be controlled. Also when we attempted to use the microwave, it kept on catching fire- i'm not sure why this is but it is very dangerous! Somebody should definitely look at this...
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return.

Good mid range accommodation about 15 minutes drive from the airport. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our holiday. We chose a 2 bedroom apartment which had lots of space for a family of 4 There was one powerful air conditioning unit which cooled the whole apartment. Beds were comfortable and apartment was clean and had a well equipped kitchen. Pool was in a lovely courtyard and was nice and refreshing after a day at the beach. The only negative was that the bathroom had a musty smell and did not have a window or proper ventilation. Staff were helpful and lent us umbrellas for the beach and let us have a late checkout which made the end of the holiday much more relaxing. The nearby beach was gorgeous, a short walk away but with a fair few steps. Plenty of restaurants and shops about 10 minutes walk away. Would recommend this accommodation but would probably not come back to the same resort.

The fair sized pool is lovely with an adjoining kids' pool, and plenty of sunbeds, with some always available – all very civilized, unlike some places we have stayed at. The apartment was airy and well equipped with plenty of wardrobe space and a sofa for lounging. The ‘rain shower’ and air con were excellent The pool bar was a cut above most pool bars and served meals in the evening too. And you are not too far (10 mins walk) to a good range of bars/restaurants.
There was no safety deposit box in room, although you could store valuables with reception. Wifi was a bit iffy so we went on 5G often. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest supermarket and beach with some stiff inclines (ok for us but could be a problem for anyone with limited mobility). The kettle needed an upgrade as it was more of a travel kettle.
If you want to spend some time in the capital Mahon it’s only a short bus ride from Cala en Porter. It cost 1.80 euro pp one way, which you pay on the bus in cash. You can catch one at the bus stop by Sa Paissa restaurant. There’s lots to see and many eating places in Mahon but try a boat trip around the harbour.
Overall, Nelva Resort is a great place.

We booked this hotel based on the pretty good reviews we saw on several sites. Our experience could not be any different from those reviews. We paid over 4600 (four thousand Six Hundred!) Euros for an apartment for the first 2 weeks of August. For this kind of money one wouldexpect the bare minimum. Unfortunately, Nelva Resort does not offer even the bare minimum. The flat was really old with a lick of paint trying to disguise the run down facility. The kitchen although recent was below par even compared to the cheapest IKEA set. Kitchen tools were old and not appropriate for a family of 5. Now, if you expect to spend a restful holiday this is NOT the place to go. The noise insulation in the building between amenities does not exist. You will hear everything that is happening in the building whatever the hour. The pool at night is used for wild parties by youngsters. Reception is completely oblivious to it and basically does not care. There is literally no night service. So all in all, considering the price we paid we are bitterly disappointed and will not advise this eesort to our friends and of course we will never be back. PS: We are definitely not used to post negative reviews but considering the lack of service we got from the resort's management (during our stay and at checkout) we think it may be useful to warn any potential customers.

We just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at the hotel Nelva, it is the very end of the season, but we got very lucky with the weather with blue skies and 26 degrees everyday. Hotel staff were lovely, great food at the restaurant and so kind. Our girls loved playing with the dogs and ginger the cat. Special hello to Jose, who got my daughter a birthday gift, as we were staying over her birthday, thank you Jose.
Apartments spacious and well equipped, we staying in a 3 bedroom one. All apartments are surrounding the pool.
10 minute walk down to the beach, lots of steps, but very beautiful, shallow water. 10 minute walk to the centre with supermarket and restaurants.
Club menorca was a gorgeous restaurant over looking the bay, 3 minutes walk away, but book early as very popular.
Would recommend a visit to the cave bar 5 mins away, between 3 and 5 children can go in, €12.50 for adults, €6 for children, with a drink included. Very lovely setting.
All in all a lovely relaxing end of season break, will definitely return.

Have just returned from a bank holiday girls weekend. What a lovely little resort with the friendliness feel and team.
A lovely collection of apartments with pretty tiled roofs and clustered around a lovely pool a and landscaped gardens.
Rooms were spacious, the resort must be a number of years old but the rooms have been decorated and kept current. There was air conditioning in the lounge area, but not in the bedrooms which might be an issue in high summer but was fine in May.
The location is in Cala En Porter, 10 mins from the lovely bay but reached by steep steps so not for those with any mobility issues. The resort is close to a few restaurants but it is in quite a quiet residential area.
Staff everywhere in the resort were fabulous, so friendly and helpful and have fun with the guests. A lovely little gem of a resort.

This is definitely not a 3star horrible dated rooms the hole hotel shabby dirty. We booked 3 nights only stayed 2 booked another hotel as I could not sleep in them beds another night. Would never go here again. It looks like they have just put a lick of paint over damp walls disgusting bedding.

I read many of the reviews for the Nelva Resort before booking our short break here and I'm very happy that I did choose it. Short taxi ride from the airport and we were quickly settled into our 2 bed apartment before heading to the onsite pool. We loved our stay here and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend the breakfast and we also enjoyed getting a couple of takeaway lunches from the restaurant as well as dinner there twice during our stay. The live music evenings are fantastic and well worth getting a table for as they are very popular. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay.

I cannot rate Nelva Reaort highly enough. My partner and I had a great stay in a lovey apartment with a sea view. The spacious apartments are very clean and well equipment. We had everything we could possibly want for our stay. The wifi and aircon are very good. Pool is cleaned well and large. The restaurant is also very good and reasonably priced. The staff are brilliant, in particular, Tony. On our last day, my partner needed urgent medical attention. Tony and another member of staff came to the rescue and got us help. He went above and beyond his job role and in general was a huge support in a time of crisis. I cannot thank him enough. I would recommend staying at Nelva Resort.

We absolutely hated staying here. The staff are pleasant and the grounds are very well kept. But the apartments are dreadful. They are in poor condition, badly decorated, with cheap and nasty fittings. The cushions feel like they've been filled with used tissues, the curtains are torn, the sofa is as comfortable as a stone bench, there is no oven, plates and glasses are missing, I could go on for quite a while longer.... BUT the absolutely WORST THING is the SMELL. The bathroom absolutely stinks - to the point of making you feel sick. Really awful experience!
