Haven't been for 4yrs , nice to see some of the same staff , so friendly & welcoming . Husband & I shared a pizza at the restaurant as it was lunch time & we weren't that hungry , nice & tasty cooked quickly , all prices reasonable. The only downside is the lack of sunbeds not sure how many rooms Sa Paissa has but there's only 6 sunbeds at the pool area this won't be good as the season gets busier. Lots of people do use it as a base to go to the beach or use the sister hotel Siesta Mar facilities but if you want to avoid children they need to take some more sunbeds down. The entertainment is usually quite good too.

Lovely little place to stay, Clean and comfy but only a bedroom with a bathroom. You have to go to sister hotel up the road for breakfast but worth it as breakfast was hot and tasty . Overall great for us as we are out all day. The entertainment was great fun . Plenty of little restaurants around. Staff were lovely. Great stay if on a budget.

hotel ok stayed in number 5 at the back of the hotel a larger balcony than the front ones which
looked very small with room for (2 chairs only) our room was cleaned every day and the bed made and towels changed (1 large and 1 very small) I think they had ran out of bath sheets.
breakfast was ok nothing to shout about just ok
shows on every night not our cup of tea but people seemed to be enjoying them selfs
we used the hotel as a base and it was good for that
also we had to be out of our room by midday but they let us keep the room until our flight 21.00. tony and gail 45ish

I visited here this morning for some breakfast with my friends and family.on arrival before We had a chance to look at the menu we was asked what I would like and then explained I was a vegetarian what could I order when the food come only half that orders came out! then when I started to eat my poached egg on toast was like something that been fed to the ducks soaking wet sloppy and slimy. I then asked for some fresh toast as the toast I had was in edible I had to wait five minutes for that and then by then my eggs where cold .two other orders we placed where made wrong! When I spoke to one of the members staff they seem very uninterested and started talking in Spanish and walked off when I got the bill they charge me full price for my poached egg on toast even though I didn’t have the other bits like bacon tomato’s and potato’s there so be aware when you order something if you’re vegetarian and you don’t want the bacon and things like that with it you will be charged the full price even though they’ve messed up all our orders they didn’t seem bothered at all! I asked to speak to a manager and I was told no! I have been coming hear for many years now and had never been hear and now I wish I hadn’t, rude staff un help-fall and poor food Quality would not recommend to anyone.

Food not great, husband asked if meal (veal) came with chips, told yes, shocked to get three chunky chips, my curry and rice arrived with loads of French fries. Service poor, would not recommend this place for an evening meal. Entertainment some evenings

We have just returned after our 2nd visit to Sa Paissa.. we went as a group of 6.. of 3 different age groups.. myself & husband,my parents & my daughter & her boyfriend... everyone said that they would like to back this year,as Sa Paissa appealed to us all so we did! We were made to feel very welcome & it was lovely that Sabin & his team remembered us and made us feel special.. it is in the middle of a very relaxed square of small bars, restaurants & shops, so is very convenient.. the square also has a market on mon & thur evenings.. Evening entertainment at Sa Paissa was excellent. . Especially a monday(temptations tribute) fab! And wednesday Fake that! Brilliant atmosphere! We stayed half board this year which was excellent... we had the choice of the buffet at the siesta mar (a few steps up the road) or a 3 course meal at Sa Paissa... we enjoyed both options (a drink included). The pool area is small but perfect..always plenty of sunbeds or chairs as families mainly popped up the sister hotel/apartments as there were 3 pools and a couple of slides there so it was always quiet around our pool! The pool area and rooms are lovingly looked after by a friendly cleaner called Flower! The beach is quite a walk down a winding road or down a lot of steps (they are gradual and have a handrail) but once at the beach it is amazing... shallow waters, bars, ice cream places, shops, pedalo hire and a nice little wall to sit on and watch the world go by if you're not a lover of sand! On the last night we went to Somni which is a fantastic show with menorcan horses... it was well worth a visit.. it can be booked in Sa Paissa
And they arrange the bus etc.... if you want to go anywhere else on the island you get the bus to mahon (bus stop behind S.Paissa) €1.65 then there are other buses going to various places once in mahon. .. mahon is a lovely place to visit.. great shop.. fab market on certain days..from 8-3, lovely harbour with a boat trip... it is also wonderful at night. ..you can get a bus there early evening but a taxi back €20 per cab.. also visit the caves(which are a 30 min walk away) and stunning!! All in all a lil gem to visit...we will definitely return!

We went as a family in July last year and thought it was the best holiday ever!! It was so good that we have booked to go again this year !! The food was delicious and a great value for money. The hotel was spotless due to a friendly cleaner named Flower, the rest of the staff are so lovely and welcoming you really did feel at home!! The entertainment at night was great to watch with an amazing atmosphere for all ages !! Getting to sleep was no problem what so ever it was quiet by 1am. At the end of the day your there for a holiday and you want to make the most of it. The surrounding area was beautiful, including an amazing beach a short walk away, you can either go down a gradual hill or lot of steps to get there. There is a lot to do with local shops and a Market on certain nights of the week. There is also a cave club down the road which is both open day and night, it is worth going to as the views are amazing, the bus service is regular and easy to use of you'd like to visit the other towns. It was a great holiday for all ages, and we can't wait to go back in the summer!!

My wife and I booked a late summer break (having taken our summer holiday in Cyprus earlier in the year). I last visited Cala'n Porter 20+ years ago as a child, and wanted to return to see what had changed. Having previously stayed in a villa, I was looking for somewhere I could base myself, but see and visit parts of the town and beyond. Sa Paissa provided exactly that!

Upon arrival, the reception area was closed, but a sign in place clearly directing you to the bar area. We had arrived early (check-in wasn't until 2pm), but were given our room keys and a welcome pack and sent on our way. We met the cleaner on the way, who, in her broken English, advised that the room wasn't ready, but we could leave our bags, which we did. We then went on a walk of the town to take in the sights, and within 10 minutes found ourselves on the beach. We returned to the hotel and sat watching the world go by (assisted by a few Cerveza's!) and found the waiting and bar staff extremely efficient and friendly.

As the week went on, we used the restaurant and bar more frequently, and watched one night of the entertainment (The Temptations tribute) which was first class. As the season was drawing to a close, the resort was a lot quieter, and therefore there wasn't entertainment every night of the week, however that didn't bother us.

We found the food excellent, with a mix of both Spanish and English dishes on the menu. (I've reviewed the restaurant separately).

Maria behind the bar looked after me (kept putting pints in front of me when the glass was empty!!) whenever I was there, and even tempted me with the local Gin as well. The rest of the waitresses and bar team were equally as pleasant and helpful.

The rooms were small, but did the job (double beds, as per the majority of these type of places are two singles pushed together), shower and toilet and sink. A built in wardrobe and dressing table (and a safety deposit box (€2 per day to hire)). They were cleaned every day by the friendly cleaner, and there was a small balcony for hanging towels, swimming stuff etc to dry.

There is a small terrace area with a swimming pool (very clean) and sun beds and chairs/tables around the pool.

Would I return?? - Yes, of course! A friendly, quaint hotel with easy access across the town.

I have just stayed at this hotel for a week and I cannot speak too highly of the whole experience. Whenever I entered the hotel I was warmly acknowledged by any staff that were there. The hotel was very clean overall and my room was cleaned and the towels changed daily. Breakfasts are varied and freshly cooked to order. The location is excellent for all of the local amenities. I am looking forward to staying here again. I wish you a very successful season in 2013.

Small hotel at centre of Cala n Porter. Very good restaurant, wished we had gone half board. We went bed and breakfast. All breakfasts were cooked and served to table, this was better than self-serve. Same prices at night as local restaurants so mainly ate out.

Room cleaned every day, very nice, friendly cleaner. Small hotel with a nice pool.

Kareoke most nights - we got used to it. Audience numbers varied as we went at beginning of season, early in June.

A small village - we took local (cheap) buses to explore rest of island. And had a great whole island tour organised by Raphael who is based in nearby Spar.

Main beach a walk from hotel. Not a wide beach but more a cove, good for families.

Liked open-air bar and girl who worked there very efficiently.
