Currently staying here, the complex is divided into two blocks each with a pool, the block closer to the reception has the largest pool and a pool bar, which is expensive, the staff on the bar are lovely, reception guy a bit odd and suggested if we want drugs and party action we were on the wrong island! I’m a woman of a certain age travelling with my pensioner mother! So found this strange and insulting, accommodation is basic, poorly maintained and shabby, good mattress, well equipped kitchenette, good air con in bedrooms and free safe, terrible shower you end up holding or run the risk of flooding the bathroom, pool area, run down, broken tiles, peeling paint and needs a good make over, the resort itself has a certain charm, lovely beach but steep incline or steps to get to it, enough restaurants for a few days and a nice couple of cocktail bars, two supermarkets opposite the hotel and I would say that’s the best thing about this hotel, it’s location, clean but very shabby, good location, nice resort but very low key, the caves and club menorca a must see, the staff apart from the reception man are nice but I probably wouldn’t return

We are a family of 5 and recently enjoyed a holiday at Siesta Mar.
Pros: Located in a family friendly resort, ideal for a relaxing break. It is possible to walk to the nice beach down 180 steps, we counted), or down the longer route on the path. Beach is perfect for children as is shallow and calm. We also walked to Cala les coves for great snorkelling. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel for anything you might need. On half board basis meals were at the Sa Paissa restaurant. Food was high quality, exceeded our expectations and service was quick. The swimming pool was not overcrowded with plenty of sun-beds. Our room was quiet.
Cons: The 5th bed was a sofa bed in the living area as we expected. However, there was no air conditioning in this area which meant that it was impossible to sleep there when it was very hot. We ended up moving the mattress into the floor in one of the bedrooms. On half board, we would have liked pool towels to be provided as they usually are and cleaners to have come more than every 3 days.

Arrived at the hotel the Tuesday evening. Amazing views, clean room, they were a little late delivering the cot as my youngest had re woken but it was fine.
Perfect….. until bedtime. Oh my god. THE NOISE ! Apartment 25. Behind us was “the strip/ bars”. Because it was the downstairs, the bed was even vibrating it was horrific. Little one was up crying. Somehow my eldest slept through, no idea how.
My other half went to talk to staff in the night but nothing could be done, obviously because it was the middle of the night !
The next morning arrived, other half went back to discuss with the manager. The manager unsure if anything could be done. I was really upset at this because I felt like the family holiday could be ruined with minimal sleep and I know my littlest is sleep sensitive so he could be moody, as would I. And it’s a lot of money spent to feel rubbish on holiday.

Thankfully, midday came and they were happy for us to move. It was the second floor but at that point I didn’t care !
We moved over, taking the cot with us to make it easier for staff. Uh oh. Staff not happy with that because there’s different cot allocation for different areas. As leaving could hear “******* ENGLISH”. Not pleasant when you’re already conscious you’ve put them out. That was the manager too.
I later went to give him a tip for his hard work, gave the euros to the other staff and they just looked at me like a piece of ****.

So we kept ourselves to ourselves.
The new room was over the road in a quiet area. It was perfect, clean and QUIET! Very very happy for the rest of the holiday. All of the bar staff went above and beyond.
The pools were great, although maybe slightly cold.

Upon leaving I thought there might be tension with the reception staff and manager but there wasn’t so I thanked them again for everything they did. I really appreciated it as a crying baby in the middle of the night isn’t ideal when you’re away of people on their holiday.

If you're looking for a quiet relaxing holiday then this is for you. The apartments are fairly basic but very clean. They are spread over quite a big area with 3 different pools so if you want to be nearer the breakfast restaurant/reception then you need to make sure you book where you want to be. Breakfast is at the nearby Sa Païssa restaurant, a three or four minute walk from our apartment, with plenty of choice of food. We went at the very end of August and it was quiet, no fighting for sun loungers, had one of the pools to myself quite a bit. Lovely poolside bar at the busier pool. Staff friendly and helpful. On an evening we ate at either Sa Paissa, Samoa or El Pulpo ... all three equally good. There are others but they didn't open til 7.30 and we preferred an earlier meal. We visited Cova d'en Xoroi which was great and took a taxi into Mahon one day which cost about 17 euros, otherwise we just stayed around the complex with an evening walk down to the beach. One minimart right opposite the complex and another two within a few minutes walk. There was a few bars within a few minutes walk (irish bar / village pub / sports bar / cocktail bar but we never actually used them.

Just got back from my first ever visit to Cala en Porter and Siesta Mar. The complex is a 10 minute drive from the airport, a 5 minute walk to the beach and surrounded by all the bars and restaurants you could want. The reception staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them like explaining bus timetables, ordering taxis and general local information. The area is beautiful and the beach stunning. It is the perfect location for both couples and families. I will be visiting this gem of a location again, in fact I have already booked to stay again next year.

Apartments desperately in need of an upgrade, very outdated, although clean.
Pool area had green algae around the edges
If you go half board you have to eat at Sa Piassa, where you have to choose from a limited set menu every day which doesn’t change- food awful too!
Calan en Porter is like a ghost town resort with only a handful of spaced out bars and nothing else there. My advice is go somewhere else on holiday !!

We stayed at the wonderful Siestama 2 complex in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment overlooks the beautiful pool area and you can even spot the sea in the distance on clear days.

The complex itself is spotlessly clean. It has 3 pools - a baby pool, shallow pool and larger pool perfect for a few lengths in-between sunbathing. Plenty of sunbeds and toilet facilities by the pool. The pool bar was very reasonable and the cocktails were freshly made.

This complex is approx 10-15mins drive from Mahon Airport. Located opposite 2 supermarkets and an ATM. Turn left and you're immediately amongst all the restaurants and bars. Turn right and you're on your way to the beach.

Fantastic for families or couples of all ages. Can't wait to go back.

Great location, apartment spacious and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool area good and great for children and adults, there’s three pools from shallow to very deep, also a couple of waster slides near pool. We always managed to get sun beds, also there’s plenty of areas for shade.
Only negative- they don’t let you have a late check out, (we had evening flights) but they do store your luggage.

Great location, near to bars restaurants and beach. Lovely apartment, with bi daily cleaning. Came with 2 teenagers and they enjoyed the pool and slides. Apartments split into 2 parts. We were based near main pool and bar which was great. Vito and Adu at the bar are so friendly and helpful as are all the cleaners and reception staff. Check out at 12. Check in for 2 but we got our room for 1 so bonus. 2 supermarkets 10yrds away with were really great and sold great bread and pastries every day. This complex is is relaxing just what we needed. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off as it’s so nice and relaxing if that’s what you’re looking for. No fight for sun loungers which was great too. Menorca and siesta mar we will miss you ❤️❤️❤️

Stayed in an ideal 2 bed apartment with my partner overlooking the pool. Couldn’t ask for any more really. I don’t think the location could be any better to be honest. Literally a stones throw away from all the action and yet discretely tucked away. The 3 pools on Siestamar 2 are fantastic.

The bar staff are so nice. I highly recommend the Mojitos! Can’t wait to go back. Won’t bother looking at any other accommodation.
