Loved the village of Rothbury. Orchard house is in a perfect location....peaceful and quiet. Cakes, fresh coffee and fruit on arrival. Can't be bad! We ate at the Queens head - staff friendly and food tasty.

We booked the Orchard House as our last night's accommodation while returning from 2 weeks in Scotland. We were delighted to find such an individual, comfortable and thoughtfully managed accommodation. From the complimentary chocolates in our room to the wonderful, cooked to order breakfast our every need was catered for. All this, and in the beautiful setting of Rothbury for...

Stayed here for one night with our granddaughter whilst her parents were at a wedding. We stayed in the blue room which was beautifully furnished and decorated. Lovely touches included millionaires shortbread in our room, 'proper' coffee, access to a fridge with fresh milk (rather than those plastic pots), bottled water and decent toiletries, luxury bedding, towels and bathrobes. Well...

We stayed in a suite for two, but I believe more people can be accommodated as there's definitely room for a fold out bed or two. It was lovely and roomy and the bathroom was very pleasant as well. There was a lovely lounge downstairs and the dining room was lovely too. We were part of a group who had...

Stayed here with my wife for three nights recently. Audrey, the house manager, is a delightful lady who welcomed us in a homely way. The building is traditional with rooms of large proportions. Our bathroom was modern and well equipped, but it was a "private bathroom" rather than ensuite. I"m sure I didn't notice this at the time of booking,...

Old house full of character. No kippers on successive mornings despite being on menu but breakfast otherwise good. Room small and tea making facilities available but had to crouch down to low window to make tea as there was no other space. Loud town clock through night. TV reception shaky. Very good value overall.

We stayed midweek on a 3 nights for 2 deal, excellent value for money and we were very well looked after! We had the Lauren Suite which felt quite luxurious to come back to after a day out cycling Northumberland. Facilities were top notch and the rooms were lovely and warm, as the weather had turned quite cool before we...

Very pleasant bed and breakfast. Audrey very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. We stayed in the blue room which was very spacious, my only niggle on the room was that as in many a B&B there is no socket near the accessable mirror for styling ones hair when wet. I have decided I am going to start packing an...

A lovely room and an excellent breakfast. A really relaxed atmosphere. Easy parking. Audrey was very welcoming and helpful over places to eat. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Orchard House to friends and family. We stayed in the Blue room which is more like a suite.
