A house of charm and characterSituated in the middle of the village, the house has been completely renovated but in a style that respects the spirit of the 18th century, using traditional materials and dimensions. The elegant library opens onto a pleasant shaded terrace and a lovely garden, which resembles gardens in Tuscany. On the teracce, in the shelter of olive garden, a sheer paradise offering rest for body and mind. It welcomes you with its superb spa, and it is an without parallel experience.Upstairs, the sumptuous bedrooms and bathrooms have a calming ambiance. You also can spend time in a spa

In the middle of the center of Lorgues you find this great B&B. The old house had a big garden with a pool and you have no idea your in a citycenter. The rooms are fine, we for instant had a seperated bathroom , and a seperated toilet. The bed is good, and there is airconditioning in the room. Breakfast is fine, with fresh fruit, all sorts of bread and yoghurt, all served in the old garden. You can see that the owner loves perfumes because the house is filled with all kind of perfume bottles. Personally I think you should not fill all the rooms with all kind of small stuff and if you do there’s a lot of work in dusting it… anyway I think if you are looking for a nice place to stay in Lorgues this defenitly is!!

I could not be happier. This wonderful Bed and Breakfast is a total treat for those seeking a peaceful-luxury stay in Provence. Only a few minutes away from St. Tropez, and near a lot of great vineyards Villa de Lorgues is the perfect place to stay. The owner Claudine was more than a wonderful hostess, we felt as we were staying with an old friend. She prepared a daily beautiful breakfast with a great variety of French traditions. I loved it. The villa has many different rooms, you may choose the one you like if it is available. The best way to communicate with them is via email. They will respond within 24 hours.

We went there for two nights and got kicked out after the first night because our 2-month old son was crying (a little bit). The owner is very rude for families with kids so I would suggest to never go there with your kids. My wife wanted to have breakfast at the room (pick it up from downstairs by herselft etc) but it was forbidden to eat it at the room. We wanted to have another blanket, but we had to share "because everyone shares in France" told us the owner.

So we got kicked out after the first night and booked Chateau de Berne which was even cheaper and AMAZING. Chateau de Berne is highly recommended but DO NOT visit Villa de Lorgues ever with the family.

Dear Mikko, I am very sad as we didn't have the chance to understand each other clearly at the beginning from the start. As you have seen, my house is not well made to welcome new borns young kids. This is because I want to keep a quiet atmosphere for all my guests. It's a very old house much more organized for adults or grown up children. Also, as it is a B&B, you will not live the same experience as the one you have in a Hotel: no breakfast in room (even if you bring it upstairs). Regarding blankets were used in other occupied rooms. For now, I am just very and sincerely sorry that the quality service I give with all my love was not meeting your expectations. Kind regards, Claudie

We stayed here for 4 nights before a wedding weekend at a nearby chateaux. We arrived at the villa a bit early so we had a wee wander round in Lorgues while we waited. We were aloud to leave our bags inside the villa, so that was handy! When we came back we were greeted and shown to our rooms. Our room was the naughty room, which has a mirror above the bed and a few naked photos/paintings. Which I found I was a little bit strange and I certainly wasn't taken with the mirror. The garden was lovely and had a newly built pool, which was great in the heat. Noise is a big no no in this villa. So if you expect to come back tipsy, this place probably isn't for you. We came back each night and were respectfully quiet and yet were still told to shhhh. Breakfast was lovely, big selection of cold things! Beware it's cash payment only, we didn't know this, so had to do bank transfers. Our room had no air conditioning, so it was roasting hot! And to be honest for the size of the rooms, etc, I thought it was quite over priced. Nice but I wouldn't stay here again. And we had terrible problems with transport while staying in Lorgues! A hire car is a must, taxis seem to be impossible to get hold of.

Dear Angel, I am so sorry you didn't appreciate my house. I try to take a great care of my guest, its the reason why I left you my own car to visit the countryside. You're right : you absolutely need a car to visit Provence, all the small villages are in the middle of nothing! Maybe you 'll be happier in an hotel instead a family B&B. Have a nice trip next time. Best regards Claudie

We stayed in Villa des Lorgues for 1 week. From the very first minute you feel that you are very welcome in this b&b. Claudie is very friendly, loves to talk with her guests, is very interested in what you do and want to do, helps you find the places to visit, the restaurants to eat, ... . You simply experience this b&b as your own home. We stayed in the room called 'Absolue' and it was absolutely wonderful. But every room has his own little charming secrets.
Breakfast is overwhelming and prepared with love. We had the luck we could eat several times under the trees in the garden. it felt like ' DĂ©jeuner sur l'herbe '. Very nice and colourful pottery makes it also ' delicious ' for the eyes.
Thank you very much Claudie and Marc for receiving us as friends. We look forward to coming back. Even in wintertimes, with all the books, it shoud be a lovely place for cocooning. With love. Frank & Lieve (Belgium, Gent )

The Villa de Lorgues reflects the charm of Lorgues itself, the sense of history is immediate as you step through the door. Once inside you meander up the stairway and begin to get the feel of the place and the love and tender care that has gone into the restoration of the former Bishop’s residence.
A little wander round the old kitchen is worthwhile and a lot of detailed attention is being given to the garden. Various Jasmines flower at different times. The honeysuckle was in full flower when we were there. We breakfasted under the fig tree. Nice little touches for the breakfast such as the 8 or so jams etc.
We were in a room at the top of the house which was spacious with a walk-in shower and big bathroom. Everything was clean and fresh towels etc appeared whenever we went out. We were staying for 3 nights attending a “destination” wedding in a nearby Chateau and it suited us well.
It is convenient for the restaurants in Lorgues and I enjoyed walking around the old XII century walled town.
It will appeal to those who want to experience the gentile side of French life rather than those parvenus who seek a boisterous break. As a B&B I give it 5 stars principally because of the warmth and love for the place exuding from Claudie who looked after us very well.
We had difficulty finding the place but that was down to our failure to figure out the GPS system in our hired car and to the one way system in Lorgues.

We stayed at Villa de Lorgues last year in June. The house interior is charming and rooms are well decorated. It looks just like a country house we would like to have but still we didn`t feel comfortable. And it is not because doors couldn`t lock. Although it is located centrally in Lorgues supposedly a quiet village, we couldn`t sleep with open windows because of the traffic noise in front of the house. No parking near by. Given the location not such great value for money. We left with mixed feelings.

Very attentive to my hosts satisfaction, your review retained all my attention. "Side Village" rooms are soundproof windows, designed for your comfort in light of some nocturnal vehicles in the small one-way street. All rooms are air conditioned (A/C), allowing you to feel the most comfortable. Two car parks are nearby: one 2 steps from the house and the other at 200 m in front of the Tourism desk point. Claudie

Just came back from Villa de Lorgues.
Not only the environment is amazing, not only the house and it's beautiful decoration, but also the people who run the house. Claudie is the most generous, loving, giving person I have ever met.
The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are amazing, everything about the house is amazing.
I recommend everybody to stay there, for as long as they can.
No home-sickness needed, you ARE home! The best holiday ever, with tons of things to see, tons of things to do, and best of all, it's so nearby!
And most important, you get treated like a princess! (or prince).
I'm so going back! Every year if I can :)

This place is a little corner of paradise in the French Riviera. The hostess was lovely and caring, making sure we were comfortable. Each room had their specific character and charm. The garden is peaceful, full of fruit trees and flowers and hidden corners where you can just relax and forget about all your worries and daily life. The village has many really good restaurants within walking distance to the Chambre d'hote. And of course Gorge du Verdon and St Tropez are within driving distance. This place is a gem I will be returning to!
