We spent one night at the Auberge du vieux puits, because we had dinner at Gilles Goujon's restaurant (no comment about it: simply perfect). As regards the hotel, the only point I see in sleeping at the Auberge is avoiding driving on the winding and narrow local roads, once you have enjoyed gorgeous meals and drunk some wines at the...

Low profile, high entourage, super-creative, decent portions, magnificent tastes, joyful staff, calm athmosphere, take your time, priceless experience. We have a holiday home in the Corbieres and at times we dine with the family in this wonderful restaurant; the drive towards this isolated village detaches you from the fast world towards a condensed food oriënted hot-spot. The chef and his...

I know only one negative point - far far away from tourists routes and big cities. It's difficult to visit it if you are in the middle of France or somewhere in Cotes d'Azur. But if you traveling in Langedouc area - you have to visit it. And may be it worth to stay in their hotel after dinner. Cuisine,...

What can I say........wow!! What an experience. This was definitely a highlight of our stay in the beautiful Aude area. We had never eaten at a Michelin star restaurant before and what a way to start. My handbag had it's own stool! The food was out of this world with attention to detail in minutia. Every course was amazing, the...

We have been planning to eat here for a while. We chose to go on a lunchtime mid week. The entire experience from beginning to end was just purely amazing. A visual display of excellence, delivered by a team of highly professional people who took pleasure in explaining and sharing the delights of each stunning course. We were left speechless....

I stayed here with my wife 9/13, we booked one of the cheaper rooms at €250 per night, very small and very average. We had booked dinner that evening, we arrived early, brought to our table and we were offered a glass of non-vintage champagne which we excepted, only to find out it cost €25 per glass! The food was...

Few restaurants anywhere in the world have so spectacular an approach, through the rough terrain of Corbieres to a 'fantasy village in the middle of nowhere. you wouldn't expect any passing trade here, but the celebrated chef is so famous that his eatery is nearly always full. Needing some sustenance and succour, after pushing the 'travel envelope', we were driving...

We had a celebration birthday lunch in the depths of rural France. Unforgettable. Amazing and unusual dishes, so imaginatively presented, yet the overall experience was of simplicity combined with excellence.

I visited this hotel restaurant with 3 friends to celebrate my birthday, the first time in 11 years for health reasons I could do this... And so it was to be special to say the least Before we arrived the restaurant checked to see if there were any special requests, as my friend was vegetarian the caller took time to...

This was our third trip to this restaurant and it was as good as the first time we went. Atmosphere was excellent the Maître' D came out to meet us in the car park and even parked our car. We were then greeted by various members of staff all the way to our table. The tasting menu was fabulous as...
