We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Maison des Palmiers! Having fled our ropey AirB&B rental nearby when the ceiling started falling down, we were over the moon to find such a great hotel at short notice. Denis and Hilary were so friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble for them and they let us use the washing...

Beautiful, clean and comfortable chambre d'haute in this gorgeous area of France, midway between Carcassonne and Narbonne. Fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable hosts Hilary and Denis extend the warmest of welcomes. Could not be bettered.

Maison des Palmiers has been gorgeously restored yet is simple and incredibly French still. Bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was huge! I've had less good breakfasts in a top hotel and Dennis and Hilary's experience in the hotel trade for so many years really shows in how they run this place.

A welcome return to this fabulous place - Hilary & Denis were as friendly and efficient as ever. The room we had was beautifully furnished with a huge and very comfy bed. The en-suite bathroom is enormous with plenty of hot water for an invigorating shower after a long journey from Brittany. Breakfast was, as ever, excellent and substantial although...

We stayed for 4 nights. The room Angelique was large and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and served in the garden. Denis and Hilary are welcoming and friendly hosts. The house is full of character. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance as the house is in the village. Parking is always available on the street. We enjoyed our stay and...

We were lucky to stay here when attending a family wedding nearby. Loved this building with its fantastic original features, which are complimented by the high standards and attention to detail Hilary and Denis provide. The breakfasts were memorable with delicious locally baked breads and pastries. Visited the friendly bar in the vilaage and chatted to some locals who said...

Full marks for comfort cleanliness and friendly atmosphere a haven in Bize. Continental Breakfast served alfresco weather permitting, a small pool with sun beds and sun shades just the spot to relax. Tea and coffee available throughout the day. A comfortable television room with French and English programms available.

We just spent 4 lovely nights here. Lovely place, indoors and out. Yummy breakfast each day with fresh baked goods that Hilary purchases each morning. Hilary and Denis - the owners - are welcoming and delightful, and were very eager to suggest places to go - all making our stay with them delightful. Thank you Hilary and Denis! P.S. The...

Really impressed with this B&B. I was attending a wedding in a nearby chateau and this was recommended as place to stay. The house itself is lovely, the rooms are large and traditional but still with modern bathrooms etc so very comfortable. There is also a guest lounge and pool and terrace as well as indoor and outdoor dining areas....
