I stayed three nights at The Rowans and was delighted. The situation overlooking the sea and only a couple of miles from Oban was perfect. I don't expect the heights of luxury in a B&B but I do expect a friendly welcome and a comfortable homely atmosphere. I wasn't disappointed. Ross is a great host and the room was comfortable,...

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is! My parents and I were traveling there over the summer. We had gotten lost and called the b&b we had booked for the night and told them we would be rather late because we had gotten lost. They didn't accept that and canceled us. Then we went from place to...

Family of four stayed two nights here during our Scottish tour. Location is an easy drive to Oban and the ferries. Ross gave us good alternatives when our trip to the Three Isles was cancelled. Good Scottish breakfast each morning and flexible with time of our breakfast when other guests leaving earlier. Rooms were ample sized and good strong hot...

We took a detour from our planned trip and visited Oban, and having not booked ahead couldn't find a place in Oban centre (and the one that did was truly awful). I remembered that the Oyster Inn had rooms so we headed back out of the centre however they were full. The Rowans is just next door and fortunately they...

We stayed at "The Rowans" for one night last week. Our room was bright and we had a lovely view. For breakfast we could choose a continental or a scottish breakfast which was nice and we also got some useful information from Ross concerning our trip to Edinburgh ! Many thanks! Anja & Sabrina

Stayed here for a night during our stopover and you get what you pay for. Decent hotel. Nothing much to say about it except that its the usual B&B. B'fast was good too. The commute to the centre was easy.

We stayed here on the way to the ferry from Oban. It is in a handy location away from the traffic problems of Oban. We had a friendly welcome. The room was clean, of average size but the bed was a bit small for me (I am 6'4"). A kettle was provided but the only socket was near to floor...

We stayed here for one night in June. The owner was friendly and helpful and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was slightly on the small size but ok otherwise. The room itself was a good size. Breakfast was served, with other guests, around one table. The B&B is handy for Oban, a few miles away, and much cheaper than...
