There is something quaintly fantastic about this place. Despite a full house both nights service was attentive and friendly, value for money in the restaurant was outstanding, bedrooms were fine and the public rooms felt very grand with lots of artefacts and were a pleasure to spend time in. Hot breakfast is cooked to order, the cooking in the restaurant...

Second trip back to this hotel. Amazing location by the falls of Lora. Quiet and restful. Decor inside old, antiquated with character. The staff were wonderful and professional. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We saw that it had great reviews everywhere so we thought we'd spoil ourselves with something a little more expensive. First of all, the beds and couches in The room must have been at least 30 years old and looked like it. The couches looked dirty and were falling apart, the beds...

We stayed here on the way to a short break off the coast of mainland Scotland. The hotel is very close to Oban, the gateway to many of the islands. We stayed in a superior room and, boy, was it worth the extra! The room was as good as any in which we've stayed, being split level with a balcony...

Arrived by train from Glasgow to Connel Ferry station which is only one minutes walk away. The hotel is only 10-15 minutes from the busy port of Oban but is set back from the main road and quiet. Lovely views over the loch to the hills. This hotel is friendly and the staff in the bar, restaurant, breakfast room and...

We stopped here for one night on our Highlands adventure. I was lucky enough to get the four poster room. This was well worth the extra cost and we had a wonderful night. The cozy bar and restaurant is always welcoming, with open fireplaces in both, although the menu could do with a bit of a revamp. There is a...

Falls of Lora really is a nice place with authentic English common areas for the guests. Rooms aren't all so spacious but very comfortable with good boxspring beds. Being close to Oban (5 min by car), it allows you to travel easily by boat to the surrounding islands and go for tours to find puffins, seals or discover great places...
