We were at a neighbouring property which didn't pass muster and we decided to leave and find somewhere else. The Oyster had a room just for a night that was dog friendly and available at only £5 more than what we had. But what a difference, lovely room. Simple but well done, everything we needed (it did take a minute to find the tea and coffee stuff) well appointed with a good size ensuite and all the ameneties we wanted. Fabulous Scottish cooked breakfast with the works, I didn't need to eat again until mid afternoon. I was sad they didn't have any more nights to offer us but it was busy season and in the run up to the weekend.

Room Tip: They are all nice I guess, not facing the road so relatively quiet

we spent one night, in room 8, and everything was just wonderful. The room was newly refurbished, following new ownership. The bed comfy, the view spectacular, especially as we were treated to an amazing sunset. The bathroom was small but met our needs with a walk in shower, and was very clean. The only thing missing was a couple of chairs to sit and look out of the window at the view ( there is a window seat) The best thing though was the service, nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were all so helpful and pleasant The food at dinner and breakfast was also very good

We unfortunately were only staying one night…wished it had been longer. The room lovely, fresh decor and spotless…but that view! Wow. We found the restaurant excellent, good food, equally good service.. and again…that view. Topped off with an amazing sunset. Breakfast was also excellent and staff all friendly and efficient. Would definitely return.

We had a reservation for 6 and were lucky to be given a wonderful table in the window. The staff were attentive and friendly - which was amazing considering there was also a medical emergency with another patron at the time we visited. They seem a wonderful team. We had 2 children with us who enjoyed their meals. Us adults were delighted with ours! Your reputation for the fish dishes served is well deserved. I had scallops and sole and have possibly never eaten better seafood. Others at the table chose lobster, steak and fish and chips and all agreed that the food was exemplary. I honestly cannot recommend you enough - it’s a shame you are an 11 hour drive away or we would be back every month!!!!

Booked in for 1 night. Couple with a dog. It was a last minute booking. Was offered a ground floor budget room as we had a dog. On-site Parking was available Friendly and helpful check in. The room was very basic but comfortable albeit very hot. ( A fan would have been nice). For the price (£95) with breakfast we thought was excellent. Dined in the bar. Good choice on the menu. Bar staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautiful. Recommend the Oyster Inn.
