In a small town you have very limited choices. Falher has two hotels and we were told this was the best. That said "best" is relative. It was clean. Wi-fi did not work. Minimalism describes the room. The included breakfast was closer to a coffee and piece of toast and most importantly, I was treated rudely at check-in. I am pretty easy going but being talked to this brusquely was unacceptable.

Not as terrible as described. Not great. Screwed up my reservation. Breakfast doesn't start till 7 or 7:30 ( I and my crew were gone to work by then). Little fridge. No Microwave. SAT. TV is ok but doesn't get quite a few channels. Place was clean except for edge of carpets (fairly typical). In room coffee was nice, except not enough sugar or creamer (typical). Furnishing were modern enough. Lighting was good, decor was fine. Bed is worn out but not totally wrecked. Window doesn't open so you have to use a/c fan to ventilate if needed. Internet is slow when place is full.

I shared a room with my daughter and son-in-law. This room was extremely out-dated. The plug in was doubled with an extension cord. The bathroom was too small. The whole experience was ok but room just old and dingy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel but there isn't very much available in this small town.

I needed a hotel for a couple of night while away for work; I ended up here since it was close. What a mistake! Drive the extra hour to High Prairie or Peace River to get a decent room!
The front desk staff member was polite and very helpful. The room has semi-modern décor, including a small table with chairs. The room also comes with free wireless internet which was reasonably fast. There is a nice gas fireplace in the room as well. Unfortunately, that is all that was good about this stay.
The room was in desperate need of repair and cleaning.
This was a ‘non smoking’ room but did not smell or look like it. It was obvious they were trying to cover up some smell because of the amount of flowery stale fragrance that over took you when you walked in. There was what looks like a cigarette burn in the bathroom floor as well.
The carpet obviously had not been cleaned or vacuumed in a LONG time; you could see the dirt along all of the walls, it was so bad I did not remove my shoes.
There is nothing fancy about this room, it is so basic that even shampoo isn’t provided (the grocery store closes at 7 here so I was SOL).
The tub was full of short black curly hairs… There was also a thick greasy ring around it, which looked like nothing compared to the dust bunnies and other questionable material surrounding the tub. Worst yet, the tub drain couldn’t keep up with the gushing water out of the old leaking shower head so you have to stand in the pooling water. I don’t even want to know what the brown streaks were on the shower curtain.
The towels were really the last straw for me… They smelt like old mouldy laundry. It was so bad I ended up using some of my clean clothes to dry off with.

I work in an aspect of the Government were we oversee the lawful conduct of business/people. I can say with out a doubt that the owner of this hotel is a crook. It has come to my attention the on three different occurrences were he has charged people $430 carpet cleaning bills for things like split pop or chocolate stains on the carpet. Something that would take a cleaning person 10 min to clean up and should to some extent be expected to happen in a hotel. I very strongly recommend going else were

Booked 3 rooms Nov 3, 2011 for our curling team, Confirmed booking Dec.14 and let one room go to help other teams that were going to the bondspiel. We get in fon Friday Dec 16, registard and left for lunch as our rooms were not ready. Returned from lunch to find out the manager gave our to rooms away. I find out from locals that this is how he does business, books confirms and sells to the highest bidder. He claims ignorance but really it's more like a scam. I would never reccommend this inn to anyone, I also surprized that the local chamber of commenrance would even consider allowing such a business to be part of there association.

I called a day in advance to book a room, the person on the phone had a difficult time understanding me. I think I was asked the same 3 questions 3 or 4 times. Managed to book a reservation. The next day around 4-30 pm about an hour before I had commited to check in, the hotel calls and cancles my reservation!!! Apparently they prefer to rent to buisnesses working in the oil and gas industry rather than general public. The Silver lining to this story is that Falher is full of great people, and someone showed me the way to a bed and breakfast. It was called the little yellow house. I Highly reccomend it. Its super clean, less money than the Inn, and it comes with a real breakfast!!

Was working in the area and phoned ahead to reserve a room. Showed up and ahead of me in line was a very nice lady from manitoba who had travelled there with her elderly sisters to attend a funeral. The desk clerk had no record of her reservation, and as the hotel was fully booked, he proceeded to give my room to her. I managed to secure a room in another motel in town only to find out two weeks later that he had proceeded to charge my credit card for the room. ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL. Stay in the other establishments in town- suggest Gerry's Motel- a completely decent motel

Sent a group of truck drivers with my company to the hotel for an overnight stay costing ~$105. Just got my statement and they charged that $105 plus an additional $800. Outraged, we called them and they refused to speak with us and hung up. 2 additional charges of ~$450 each were also charged on my statement to a hotel in the same hotel chain in North Vancouver where neither I nor my drivers have ever been.

Contacted the RCMP and they have received several complaints about this hotel. I hope you consider my story if you consider staying here.
