We spent one night at Mahoora in March, and were very pleased with the visit. The tents were well appointed and comfortable, food was good, and staff very attentive. We saw many elephants on our evening game drive, and they came very close to the vehicle. Our guide was energetic and knowledgeable.

We cannot praise the team and site manager, Beamsallah enough. An outstanding Elite experience, amazing evening and morning safaris driven by the very experienced Piyauml and our knowledgable guide Gayal all made this visit memorable. Upon arrival we were treated as if we were the only people staying at this site. we were given a very warm welcome by Beamsallah,...

Had a great experience with Mahoora. Tents were well appointed and had all what we needed. Food was also upto the mark and great service too. We did a nice village walk early in the morning and saw a lot of birds. Gayan, the naturalist also had a very vast knowledge. The safari through Lunugamvehera was a first time experience....

We spent two nights at the camp which we thoroughly enjoyed. We arrived late so didn't have a trip to the park on our first day but then had three really excellent drives into the game park with a charming and well informed naturalist. We saw many people being driven around the parks without a naturalist and we felt they...

This isn't exactly a luxury safari camp, but it was certainly a wonderful experience. The tents really are tents and are quite rudimentary, so if you are expecting luxury this isn't for you. Everything else about the place was first class. The staff and guides are super knowledgeable and the food is good. The biggest surprise was the park itself,...

We had just completed the Yala safari with Mahoora so was expecting a similar level of excellent service. The landscape is much more spacious and such a contrast to Yala so were glad we did both. The staff were more consistent and attentive than at Yala - the naturalist Gayan was extremely knowledgable and fun to hang with, and because...

We've spent 2 nights at the Mahoora Udawalawe and did in total 4 game drives seeing thanks to Den the Naturalist all what was necessary to see. The Camp Site is not as nice as Yale, however still worthwhile to visit.

Mahoora Tented Camp Safari was a great experience. We travelled as a couple and stayed two nights in Udawalawe National Park at Mahoora Tented Safari. The service of our naturalist Gayan was the highlight! Mahoora offered a very personalised service: we had a great tent with all the amenities, enjoyed great food in beautiful settings, the staff are amazingly nice...

Although the camp site itself was a bit rough around the edges (especially compared to the Yala operation), we had a fantastic stay - the staff were very friendly and helpful, our naturalist was fantastic - engaged, knowledgable and very interesting to talk to, the food was abundant and very good. We enjoyed both of our safari's into the park...

We stayed for one night in a Classic Plus tent. The tent was clean and comfortable but not exactly luxury. Our naturalist was very knowledgeable and a friendly fellow. Staff were great. The food served was very good and in particular, the Sri Lankan curry lunch. We appreciate the efforts in conservation of companies like Mahoora. If you are doing...
