We stayed at Island Camp for two nights and it was just what was needed; a mixture of rustic luxury, with fun guests, fabulous house and staff and spectacular views. I would highly recommend staying here. We loved it !

A group of 15 of us visited Island Camp in March 2017 whilst on a motorbike tour around Kenya. This is a magical place and a hidden oasis amongst the relatively arid surrounding region. As you cross the lake after boarding on a rickety jetty, and approach the island all you can see is the sparse vegetation and corrugated iron...

I have been visiting Island Camp Baringo privately and recommending it to friends for over 20 years. Recently my wife and I and some friends stayed for 2 nights and we all experienced the special charisma of this magnificent spot on the planet. This is the real deal, great value in a quiet and stunningly beautiful corner of the Great...

We used to visit the Island Camp regularly until 2008 and always thought it was beautiful, but gradually needed an upgrade. We visited again in March 2017 and found the place to be as relaxed, but now with excellent facilities and accommodation. The staff and management did everything to make every member of the family comfortable.

As the boat pulls away from the mainland, you feel like you are leaving the world behind. And you are. Upon arriving at Island Camp you enter a magical environment that only improves with the kindness of the attentive staff, the depth of knowledge of the guides, and the warmth and caring of the management. I felt like it was...

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Island camp, Lake Baringo. The Lake and island are beautiful and the camp is fabulous. After a long journey and approaching the Lake along an unmade road, we arrived at the Lake jetty to be met by the helpful staff, who were expecting us. We were extremely well looked after on...

Spent 3 nights here last month, having travelled extensively in Kenya over many years and to many locations this place was a breath of fresh air regarding quality, comfort and service. About a 20 minute boat ride to Ol Kokwe island and on arrival you will be greeted with a cool refreshing drink and shown to your accomodation. Everything was...

Waking up to the sunrise and the lake sparkling only feet below your very comfortable 'tent' seems impossible to beat but then you go for a boat trip and are overwhelmed by the number of birds, not to mention crocodiles and hippos and your stay just gets better and better. We went with friends and had just come from the...

I think this is one of my favourite places in Kenya. Island Camp is a perfect place to relax, birdwatch and enjoy spectacular views. Take the opportunity to boat round the island - you'll see crocodile, African Fish Eagle and much much more. The rooms are lovely and the service is excellent.
