My wife and I had some spare time to travel, but very little anticipation to plan for it, and as we were searching for places that suited our travel needs, we know about a close friend being in Mazunte, so we started to do a deep search of so many possible places to stay in Mazunte and neighbouring beach towns, until we found out about Casa Aamori, we saw the web site and photos, and based on what we saw and read, we decided to go there and booked, just 6 days prior to getting there! We were surprised from the very moment we set foot inside this property and loved the place! On our second day there, we were greeted by the owner of Casa Aamori, Patricia, a distinguished lady from Mexico City. Sadly, the food and drink service was limited to just breakfast and lunch hours, but I have to say the the quality of food and drink was excellent! We want to thank the waitress Rosario, she was there for us any time we needed food or drinks! For a 6-day prior booking and being the busiest week in summer, we were lucky to catch an ocean-partial-view suite, which was amazing! On our last night we had the chance to meet some interesting guests from France and Portugal, we had very nice conversations with all of them! And last but not least, we want to thank Patricia, who took care of all of our needs inside and outside of the property, being dinner bookings, taxi transfers or whatever needs that we had. Congratulations Patricia, you along with your late husband, had the vision to build this tiny, beautiful oasis in Mazunte! We loved this place so much, that the only thing that caused us sadness was the fact that we had to leave to get back home! But we have the dream that some day we come back to Casa Aamori!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Casa Aamori. We had a beautiful room (room 7) directly overlooking the ocean and slept amazingly well in the super comfortable bed with the surf crashing a few meters away. The food was excellent and we enjoyed some delicious breakfasts and lunches with the adorable Rosario looking after us really well and helping us to improve our Spanish. The place was super clean and Pablo was an absolute star - ensuring that everything in our room was perfect and nothing we asked was too much trouble for him - what a great guy! We wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this wonderful place and thoroughly recommend it!

We stayed for four nights in Feb 2021 and we loved our time at Casa Aamori. The ocean view room was so beautiful and romantic, the food and drinks were delicious and the staff was kind, gracious and excellent at their jobs. The hotel is just steps away from the beach, so it's easy to take a dip in the ocean or a walk on the sand and then return to lounge on the comfortable sun beds, cool off in the pool and sip a drink in the shade. You will have the best of everything at this hotel. There was AC in our room, but we didn't really need it with the fans and the nice breeze coming in from the screened areas. Great location and definitely more sophisticated than most other options in the area. You can't beat it! A special shoutout to staff members Jose, Rosario and Nato for taking great care of us, and the owner Patricia who kindly made us some restaurant reservations at great places that gave us excellent tables. We will be back as soon as we can!

Walking in to this hotel it’s a beautiful place and some of the staff (Jonathan) are truly amazing hosts but I have never been treated so poorly by any hotel (I’ve been traveling full time living in hotels of all levels from hostels to 7 star hotels for about 5 years) in my life. The owner of this hotel made our experience incredibly uncomfortable to a level that others came over to provide comforting words. Proceed with caution as ownership is obviously much more focused on profit then they are client experience. Highly disappointing. In addition, hotel is very noisy early in morning to a point that both rooms we were staying in were woken every day and they put harsh chemicals in to pool every evening (even when we were wanting to use pool). Also, found lots of red ants behind head board and mosquitos are a serious untreated issue. Overall, while it is absolutely beautiful and we truly loved Johnathan, we can’t recommend this hotel at all and many others in area well deserving of the business with ownership who actually care about the guest experience.

Save yourself time, money and energy and never go to this place. THE RUDEST MANAGER EVER!
First day we came and stayed for 2 hours, we ordered 2 drinks and then he came and told us that next timw we need to order more to be able to work kn our laptop and we said of course.

Second day we went again to have launch . The food was terribal. We communicated that the octopus is not well cooked but the manager came back to us saying that the chef tried it and it is good. You can eat it because we will not refund or give another olate. We never asked for another plate but we were shocked by the poor communication and service!

We decided to give it a chance the thrird day . We ordered for more then 500 pesos so we can sit and work on our laptops. Before we leave the manager come to us saying that tomorrow you cannot come because you cant work on your laptop here. This is not a working space assuming that we were working. Imagine someone coming telling you you cannot use your phone lol. Super rude and unwelcoming

And btw the place was emptyyyyyy we werent even taking the space of someone else. We kept ordering so we can stay longer.

Tooooo bad! Will never step there again or recommend this place to anyone

Casa Aamori is a beautiful spot but unfortunately the manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. After being trapped in our room for over an hour due to a faulty door knob we were left without a lock or doorknob over night. The next day we discussed our experience and noted the safety concerns with the manager (ie fire and security). The manager minimized the concerns and did not offer any compensation or gesture of goodwill.

When I expressed my disappointment with his response to our concerns, I was then told that San Agustinillo is safer at night than in the day and that someone had been killed that day. He then wished us “luck”’in Zipolite and stated that it’s much more dangerous there. I am shocked at the level of unprofessionalism of the manager at a hotel that costs over $250 usd a night.

Incidents happen that are out of a hotel’s control but it’s the response and actions of the staff that leave you with an impression of a place. Casa Aamori unfortunately doesn’t care about the safety or experience of their guests.

The hotel's location is good, with good access to the beach and the main street. The room was boisterous, as no windows were installed, only mosquito nets. The noise of the waves crashing on the beach was unbearable. The staff was accommodating, and the breakfast (not included) was served on the terrace facing the beautiful view of the beach. The price does not reflect what you get.

Just spent six amazing nights at Casa Aamori. It is a small hotel, beautifully built, with lot of details and attention to natural materials. Our room was very cool, with a terrace overlooking the ocean. You are so close to the sea, that it's almost hard to sleep with the crashing waves. Service was great, and everyone was so kind and attentive. Food is also very good.

We were nervous because of the pandemic, but everything is outdoors, including the local restaurants in San Agustinillo and Mazunte, so it did not seem to be a problem. Staff is very careful at the hotels wearing face masks when near tourists.

The pillows and beds are fabulous! Staff is attentive and friendly. Guillermo is a wonderful attentive manager, available for guests throughout the day. He enjoys helping you as well greeted us with a smile and some conversation every morning. It made us feel special and important. The staff was all this way , to be honest. The hotel is beautiful and very clean with a quiet atmosphere of sophistication. Turtles did make their way up the beach during our stay to lay the eggs and we contacted Tortuga to rescue the eggs until such time they could hatch, we wish the best for all that stay here. Respect the beach, the nature and the hotel and its staff and I can promise you will not find any reason to complain! We stayed 10 days and could have stayed 10 more !!

Set right on the beach, with tropical courtyard and pool, plenty of sun loungers and beds. What a great place to stay. A well planned boutique hotel with excellent staff, great facilities and a really good vibe. The style that combined traditional Mexican with Bali/Indonesia. The room was week equipped, fresh and clean. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were really good quality and excellent value.
