We enjoyed the warm hospitality of Lesley and Gordon - just a delightful spot! Delicious breakfasts. An old home with plenty of character. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the comings and goings. The Gull River is directly across from the front porch...More
Great place to stay of all the places in town. Both the owners, Leslie and Gord, make you feel very welcome. Beautifully situated on the Gull river in town next to everything you could possibly need and the cottages are dog friendly. Stay here!
Visited with my husband and couple of friends in the thanksgiving weekend.

Hi Bart and thanks for your interest in Minden House! Currently none of our cottages have a fireplace as they are all electrically heated. We do have one unit available for the February long weekend. For ice fishing adventures your best bet is to contact Haliburton Ice Fishing directly. Because of the unseasonably warm winter so far I'm not sure whether the lakes will be safe to walk on but those folks would be able to tell you. There are many snowshoeing trails in the area ranging from short to long.
Best of the season, Gord Elliott, Minden House
