Was on a hiking break and dropped in twice for a drink, Glenys the landlady was so welcoming and friendly. The pub is a traditional local pub ideal for the amazing country side.
Will definitely go again.

We stayed at the hotel for a Christmas function and found it to be first class. The room was excellent, large and clean with a modern bathroom. The evening function was well organised and the staff attentive.
The hotel is in the middle of this small but famous town. I recommend a snack in the old carriage on the station. Well prepared and very reasonable. The station is almost opposite the hotel.

Popped into this local for a quick drink after a long walk. Was made to feel very welcome immediately on what is obviously a very local pub. Nice couple that run the place with their little dog. Gave us lots of advice on the local area. Good selection of drinks available and all at a good price. It was like stepping back in time but very good at the same time.

It's utterly disgusting here! Filthy! The beds are hard and uncomfortable, not to mention the king size quilt in a double quilt cover!! Which left me and my husband freezing & not able to move!!! The mattress was like sleeping on a £19.99p mattress from a second hand shop! The dust was layers thick all over the room!! ! The windows are old and make the room freezing! THEN there's the poo on the toilet 🚽 your brilliant cleaners left along with shampoo marks down the side of the shower which looked like an machine from a saw movie accompanied by lots of pubic hair scattered around the room!!!! Thick black hair clumps on the floor & on the pillows!! Hand smear marks down all the mirrors, tooth paste spit marks all over the taps & bathroom mirrors, oh yes and the tampons in the bin, the wallpaper peeling off the walls. Then at around 9pm a huge group of kids paying NWA f&@? the police outside our window for an hour and a half (brilliant when it's our wedding anniversary) now Iv have about 2 hours sleep 😴 from the yobs of the village braying on the front doors most of the night, screaming and shouting right outside our window. Every time someone flushes the loo the whole building makes a racket!! This has been the worst stay Iv ever had anywhere in the world, and Iv stayed in hostels in India! There cleaners actually cleaned poo off the toilet! I will NOT be staying for the second night as planned! I'm not even staying for breakfast as we are very unsure on what kind of food will be served! ! 👌🏼✋🏼 thank you very much for ruining my wedding anniversary and doing nothing about it besides a poxy bunch of flowers, cheap bottle of fix and £2.99p chocolates!!!!! You literally deserve half a star for the gin and tonic I bought yesterday as that's all Iv enjoyed about the stay!!!!!!!!

The locals were friendly and the welcome was warm with the singing of Welsh songs in the bar but the place was nothing to write home about, average for want of a better word. Not the kind of place to stay the evening but it's a cold drink at the end of a walk.
