What we expected from Rancho after what we read: a challenging hike to Pico Duarte well organised, fun activities, rather shabby room with an ensuite shower with luck, possibly hot water and a lot of mosquitos. What we got: brand new rooms with beautiful wooden finishings and two double beds (one for each person), modern fans, beautiful clean shower and...

We stayed at Rancho for one night to do our rafting, which was organized also by Rancho. As for us this place is overpriced. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed, but the food was very basic. One of the reasons why we chose Rancho was the information I read in the reviews - that Rancho gives 25$ discount...

We stayed at RB for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed forever. It's so tranquil, staff is great and food is delicious. We took our puppy and they had no problem with that. The staff even gave my dog a special meal! Just Awesome!!

- 3.5 stars for a sober, yet clean apartment - 2 stars for mediocre food: BBC or meat to break your teeth on. Always 3-5 thick flies in the sugar bowl...... Every meal: nobody cares! - nice pool area: 4 stars

I have been wanting to try rapelling for a while now, and because of this experience, I'm been hooked. There were several waterfall jumps (you need to know how to swim). The highest jump was from about 7 meters (23 feet), but felt at least twice that high looking down from the top. There were two roped-in rapelling experiences. The...

I recently went on a class trip to Rancho Baiguate, and was not expecting much thanks to some friends' opinions and the 1-2 star reviews it received. However, when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with tasteful rooms and a nice, well kept property. Now, some reviews may state that the rooms are very "basic," which could be considered to...

My partner and I visited Jarabacoa and fell in love with this place and decided to stay a few days whilst surveying the area for a more permanent accomodation. We absolutely fell in love with the premises and the models for alternative living that they present, such as acuaculture, fishing, animal raising, farming, etc. We will definitely be returning!

We were her two nights, had a nice room with a balcony. The site is nice, quiet and has horses and donkey running through the premises. The room was clean and spacious, but there was no chair or desk or any other furniture than the beds and one night stand. The food in the restaurant was edible and we chose...
