Had a very nice stay for 2nights. The double private room is basic but fine! Days filled with trekking, piranha fishing, boat tour etc. Good english speaking guides and the food is great! Don't rush and go with the flow. We dit see lots of beautiful animals!

We booked a 5 night 6 day trip to Pantanal with Pantanaltrekking (or Ecologicalexpeditions) and paid 1500 Rs per person. We stayed 3 nights in the Arara Azul lodge (pousada) from where various activities were organized. We also did 2 nights camping aka "survivor" tour. The lodge accommodation is basic, it is a big farm area with simple housing for...

Went om a 3 day 2 night tour at this pousada with my girlfriend. Enjoyable and affordable tour with plenty of animals for us novices to see including capivara, caiman, monkeys, owls, piranhas as well as many types of birds. The daytime walking tour with Elias was brillant. The piranha fishing had a slow start but turned out to be...

We stayed for four days/ three nights. We booked the survival tour which meant we would stay one or two nights in the wild. We were lucky enough to have a private tour with Gabriel. He knows so much about the Pantanal and is an absolutely great guide. We spotted all kinds of animals, slept at a beautiful location in...

Before booking trip to Pantanal we were a bit confused, because we read some bad reviews on ecological expeditions company. Despite this, we decided to book with them and we were very happy about that! Everything was very good organised: the guy from company took us from airport to hostel; as we arrived very late, the owner of company (Amarildo)...

First things first, it can be confusing booking a tour of the Pantanal. We arrived from Bolivia and were set upon by three enthusiastic hostel owners at the border, hoping we'd book a tour with them from Corumba. We ended up going for the cheapest hostel, Hostel 4 Cantos, run by Rafael. We didn't book a tour with him but...

At first we are hesitant to book here because we saw some bad reviews early on. However, due to budget constraints, we decided to take a chance and go with it anyway as it was the cheapest option around. From start to end, we were very pleased with all the activities, the organisation, the food, the lodge itself, our guide...

Firstly, if you have been to the Amazon and enjoyed it. Don’t go to the Pantanal. It is extremely basic and boring compared to the Amazon. But you see some cool animals so it’s not a complete loss. Also, who you book through (Indiana Tours, Crocodile Indi, Ecological Expeditions, Pantanal Trekking... they are all just agents that offer the same...
