Castillo de Ayud is a good modern hotel in the new part of the historic city of Calatayud, which is beside the A2 motorway, between Madrid and Zaragoza. Ideal stop-off point for splitting journey to the south of Spain. Comfortable clean rooms, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The hotel also has a gym and secure underground parking. The large...

Castillo de Ayud is a good contemporary hotel in the new part of the historic city of Calatayud, which is beside the A2 motorway, between Madrid and Zaragoza. The hotel was built a few years ago, so everything is sleek and modern. Comfortable rooms, although not enormous. Impeccable clean and regular-sized bathrooms, with a flat flush shower -quite convenient for...

We spent a very uncomfortable night in this hotel. Upon taking a shower, we found a strange stain on one of our towels. We called reception to ask for another and were told that maybe they wouldn't be able to bring a clean towel up due to the hour. Unacceptable. Furthermore, when someone finally brought us a clean towel, they...

Staying here was good and well worth the trip. Nice old town with many churches to see, also some original Goya paintings. Also the surroundings are stunning. Will have to come back to see a lot more.

Very quiet rooms, comfortable, with pleasant staff, nice food. Great price, easy to find. Secure underground parking. Evening spa and a nice gym. I'd be happy to stay here again, really comfortable and functional hotel. Breakfast finishes early.

Good modern hotel, well placed in the town, easy to find , good underground safe parking. We didn't eat at the restaurant, just had breakfast. It was fine but not outstanding.the room was of a good quality, but was let down badly by the poor shower which was no more than a trickle. After walking around the old city for a...

This is for us one of the best hotels in Calatayud. Parking is readily available in the street. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. What we value the most is that you can sleep at night as there is hardly any noise. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and we were able to use...

We stayed for one night on our drive from the Costa Blanca to Bilbao to catch the ferry. All double rooms were booked so we reserved a suite. The room was lovely, very clean and modern with a huge sitting area, large bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. We were on the top floor so it was very quiet...

We picked calatayud as the first stop in our honeymoon when doing the interrail from the south to the north of Europe. We expected a very cheap (37€ including breakfast ) two stars hotel, but we actually got a very decent 3 stars, so it was value for the price. Well located, close to the train station and to the...

We stayed in this hotel recently for two nights whilst visiting the area. When you arrive from the direction we came from (Madrid) it didn't look in the most amazing location and seemed like it was out of town as there wasn't much to be seen around. However, we were wrong as just a few minutes walk was all of...
