Pro's: (1) this is a very very typical accomodation according to "Aragon" style, I think something more genuine it is very hard to find in Aragon; (2) the history behind the hotel's name; (3) friendly and helpful staff; (4) comfortable bedroom; (5) good breakfast; (6) free parking slots available. Con's: (1) maybe some renovation / maintenance works are needed

Hotel is lovely decorated (reception area, bar, restauarant), rooms are ok, breakfast average. Centrally located, you have direct access to the old town of Calatayud, a quite typical little Spanish town in-between of Zaragoza an Madrid.

Very nice hotel, nice people in the reception. Ok breakfast. Charming old hospederia, which seems to mean something like where Maria and Joseph slept - old rings for the horses or donkeys in the courtyard, now bar, original, Spanish interior. Value for money. Only complaint: The wifi in the rooms was awful!

It was already late and we were on the road, far from our next destination. We stopped at a fuel station and asked directions for the closest place to sleep. The kids were already off, and it wouldn't be safe to continue. The man at the station was really nice, and told us to go into Calatayud, but to stay...

In our case, the song is long ended, but the memory truly does linger on.We stayed here in May;one of two stops driving from the U.K.to the Costa Blanca.Having booked bed & breakfast at an almost too cheap price via Booking.com,our expectations were not stratospheric and from the outside the place looks reasonable. On entry to the building however,we were transported to...

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and we will be talking about the experience for a longtime to come. We didnt pick up from the website that that this is not just a hotel but a piece of history encompassing a museum. It is the first hotel that i have stayed in where the reception area is a...

First of all, I want to make clear the service was very professional at all times, both at the reception of the hotel and the restaurant. It would not be fair not mentioning this before going into the more than disappointing menu we were served as part of an offer that included room, dinner and entrance fee for el Monasterio...

Incredibly old building with internal courtyard. We had a very nice room, en-suite, very clean. The window overlooked the internal courtyard. This proved a problem regarding sound travel. Understandable during the day, but not so at night. It would have been a lot quieter had the hotel night clerk not received, what sounded like, a succession of friends and family...

We didn't like Calatayud at all but we were impressed by this cute quaint hotel which has blue walls and decent food, which we dropped by during our trip to Catalunya's southern towns. The restaurant had people dressing up in 18th Century costumes so it was very atmospheric. Menu might not offer much but it's a good bet in a...

We took two rooms for one night to break our drive from Andalucia back up to our home in France. We booked in advance and paid about 90 euros in total, with breakfast for three. Given the outstanding quality of the hotel, this is fantastic value! The 17th century (I'm guessing.....but it's very old) building has been beautifully and tastefully...

“The hotel is a XVI century building you have to visit if you are in Calatayud. It brings Lope de Vega's books to your mind. But I suggest you just have a drink at the cafeteria and go back home!”
