We just came back from our trip to amazingly beautiful Burgundy!!!- golden vineyards, autumn coloured forests and open farmlands. For the first two nights, we stayed near Beaune so as to travel the Route des Grands Crus of the Cote D'Or. The beauty of the vineyards was breathtaking. End of October seems to be the time to go. For the... More

My wife and I booked here after extensively searching for a quiet, beautiful, luxury chateau in the area. I'm so glad we did as it exceeded expectations! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Set in a small village and surrounded by fields and parkland. There are different elements to the buildings. The main building is a typical French chateau with... More

A large group of us stayed in the hotel for one night in September. The building, setting and facilities are superb. The restaurant is excellent and the sommelier is very good at his job; beware, the wine can be rather expensive. I would not hesitate to return

Our usual B&B stop off on our way from Provence to eastern England was booked so we decided to treat ourselves to a Gastronomic dinner, B&B at Courban. A very pleasant detour from the A31 to the A5, in beautiful countryside to not such a beautiful village, nevertheless the hotel is a lovely old house with extensive grounds; and rooms... More

This is a lovely hotel! The swimming pool is good although a bit chilly! The grounds and gardens are lovely for lounging in with little areas to sit. The dinner was really good. The breakfast was also very good but costs 18 Euro per person. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The beds were a bit on the hard... More

The staff and rooms are excellent, very luxurious. The grounds are gorgeous and the chateau has been extremely well done. The spa services are great, the pool lovely, and the restaurant is outstanding, really world class. The sommelier's tips were brilliant too.

We were looking for a place to break the journey from the Dordogne to Calais for a couple of nights and though this was out of the way it was in the Chateaux and Hotels Collection which is normally a good sign and it was reasonably priced. The whole complex is beautiful - possibly a little out of place in... More

We stayed for two nights as break in our journey to Drome Provencale. We stayed in the superior room separate from the main building. Hotel grounds and pool area were immaculate. Food in the restaurant was excellent on both evenings, wine list was extensive although expensive (but not to be unexpected), but better book prior to arrival. Staff were attentive... More

Being French myself and Knowing France quite well, I must say this hotel+restaurant is like an alien spaceship that landed inside one of the small lost villages that are spread around the French countryside. Very fresh and relaxing pool, excellent food and... the nearest town is 17 km away. I have driven through hundreds of those small villages in my... More

Heading south towards Dijon and beyond? Take a break at Chateau de Courban and spa which is just a few minutes from the motorway coming from the north. Heading south again is a pleasant drive through pretty countryside, dropping you back on the Motorway just above Dijon. Unless you opt for a modern bungalow at the spa, comfortable and vey... More
