This is a small, very friendly hotel in the centre of Bitburg. We stayed in a front room and found the traffic noisy but it is in the centre of the town. Breakfast was good with a good selection and freshly cooked boiled or scrambled. There is interesting art work on every wall of the hotel

This is a very nice hotel in the center of town. The food is great and the staff very friendly. The breakfast is my favorite meal there with to order eggs and the best German bread. The Bitburg Brewery is not more than 200m up the street from the hotel and also has great food and the tour is not bad..
Thank Chris T

Had a good stay at this place. Free parking was a plus. We stayed in a room in the back building. The room has two beds in two rooms, and a good size bathroom. The A/C was good, and the beds were comfortable. The only flaw with the back building is that the wifi is weak to non-existent, but it is free and works well in reception. The breakfast offered eggs, juices, cold cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, and bread.

It's a very short walk from the Bitburger Brewery.

My wife and daughter had visited Hotel Leander on trips to the local sports school before but this time I was able to make the trip, and what a great experience it was! Even with our late arrival we were treated with kindness and courtesy. Our room, including the en suite bathroom, was spotless and well maintained albeit a bit basic. What I love about the German hotels of this style is they usually have great restaurants in them and Leander did not disappoint me, from a well appointed continental breakfast (with eggs to order) which included great local cold-cuts and cheeses, fresh breads and pastries, yoghurts, breakfast cereals and fresh fruits, to one of the best dinners that I have ever had in my many trips to Germany. Perfectly cooked meats with side-dishes that where fantastic. Both traditional and innovative cuisine are on their menu. The restaurant was busy with many locals as well as hotel guests yet service did not suffer for it. Fabulous food with a good wine-list, although I was partial to the locally produced Bitburger beer.

The hotel is located downtown with adequate on-site parking and within a short walk are the local historical sites, the Bitburg brewery and the pedestrian only Haupstrasse, which has shopping and dining options. There is a large grocery store, petrol station and pharmacy within a block of the hotel.

I highly recommend the hotel and the greater Bitburg area whether one is a history buff, outdoorsman or one just wants to experience great north German hospitality. Thank you Suzanne and Roy for a wonderful stay!

Just returned from another motor biking trip to Germany. We stayed at the Hotel Leander 2 nights during our stay, having stayed there on previous trips. The hotel is immaculate, the food there is great and Roy. Suzanne (the owners) and all the staff are so friendly. The hotel is located in a great position for visiting the Eifel region, the Nurburgring or the Mosel area....for bikers the roads in and out of Bitburg are fabulous and the scenery is gorgeous. The 257 and the 50 are both great twisty roads to ride. It's ideally placed as a stop over heading down to the Black Forest which is another must visit for any biker, or anyone who appreciates stunning scenery. I can't praise the Hotel Leander enough and as titled, would highly recommend staying here.
