I just returned home after 3 nights of pure bliss at The Library. I found this hotel through the reviews on Trip Advisor - and I'm so happy that I listened to them. The library is FANTASTIC! Sure, this hotel is situated in the best part of Chaweng Beach, the rooms are zen but with all the amenities you could...

The Library is a unique hotel, great for short stays. It is right in the heart of Chaweng, surrounded by bustling nightlife, markets and the beach. Great restaurant with gorgeous food for all, but quite pricey. The Library is very chic and stylish, with its one of a kind red pool. Great photo op! Decoration and presentation of the hotel...

Cool hotel for weekend short holidays. Middle of Chaweng but still secluded. Great restaurant although a little pricey. Also great place for an afternoon drink after busy shopping on the high street. Nice people but a little slow service during peak hours.

A unique and chic setting with a dash of style. You will find numerous spots for great photos topped by the stunning red pool. They have dozens of white Keith Haring style mannequins or statues sprinkled throughout the hotel which adds to the artistic hip ambiance. We had some friends staying at the neighboring Amari and they paid us a...

I checked into The Library on Oct 1st, 2014 and that began one of the worse weeks of my life. I checked out less than 24 hours later even though I paid for four nights. My girlfriend and I arrived from Phuket. We expect bugs in a tropical country like Thailand but this hotel is overrun with mosquitos and even...

We didnt stay at the hotel, however we did frequent the bar most evenings during our 4 nights in Chewang. This was definately the nicest place for fabulous cocktails! The cocktail menu is extensive and some of them are very innovative! The expresso hazelnut martini was delicious! We also ate here for lunch, we had the massaman curry and rice,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Library is a stunning conceptual hotel built in a semi-minimalist architectural design, located at the heart of Chaweng Beach. Shaped by the hands of an island local who was inspired by books and a simple lifestyle philosophy, the property has now become an international icon of style and was recently recognized by Tripadvisor as the number one trendiest hotel in Thailand (2012).The Library offers its guests a total of 26 unique accommodations in the form of Exotic Suites located on the ground floor, Smart Studios on the upper levels, an ultra-luxurious unit called the Bookmark and an expansive 2-Bedroom Suite. Interspersed with age-old trees and various works of art, The Library and its surroundings boast a balance of nature and culture. Interiors bathed in a minimalist palette are completed with modern facilities. True to the belief that a perfect holiday equals an opportunity to enjoy one good novel, guests are invited to browse through the well-curated collection of books at The Lib, which gives The Library its distinctive name. An award-winning restaurant called The Page is also open for all-day dining, and the Drink Gallery whips up an artistic blend of good food, warm vibes and the island's most fantastic drinks. ... more   less
