We stayed at the hotel in the beginning of the year and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is fantastic, very modern, very clean, the staff is amazing, the food is delicious and the pool is surprisingly beautiful with red-ish and yellow-ish color. I loved the hotel. Its a small hotel, however you are treated always as a special guest....

I've been yesterday night to the Library to have a drink with several friends. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff of the bar, helped by the amazing trainee Juan David, did their best to live up to our expectations. I would like to thank them all for their kindness and for helping us to organize a little surprise...

I just returned from a great 5 day stay in The Library. This was my second time in Samui (first time around I stayed in Bophut in a great property (Hansar Samui) but the beach in Bophut is awful and not swimmable)… hence this time we decided to stay in The Library since we visited the first time and saw...

We spent 5 days at the Library this May with our 21 months son. We had a wonderful stay. Excellent service by all staff. They have all been very friendly and attentive with us and our son. Great food at The Page for both lunch and dinner. Nice breakfast, not many choices but of good quality. Couples may enjoy their...

Hubby and I stayed at the Library at end of March and we are still dreaming about our stay. We are well travelled in Thailand and can honestly say it's our favourite hotel. The staff are just fab, highly attentative without intrusion, which is a difficult balance to achieve. After too many experinces of nervous overbearing attention, they just engendered...

Stayed here for 4 nights and only 1 word: excellent. It's almost perfect, from hotel room, location till service. The only minus point is you could hear loud music from a club nearby sometimes, but it's not their fault, it's just Chaweng area.

Ok, we stayed at the library for two nights as part of a wedding party. We were allocated page 11 (room11). The room was classed as a suite, from what I gather the only difference between this and the other rooms was a jacuzzi bath tub. The room is very very veerrryyyy clinical, I wouldn't class it as a comfortable...

Perhaps the staff were focused on the hotel guests as our experience was poor to say the least. We called in at the Library as we walked down Beach Road. Not particularly busy the staff were excruciatingly slow and not attentive at all. The drinks (cocktails) were by far the most expensive we have had on the island.

This is a standout hotel and probably the best on koh Samui. Having visited six senses and four seasons i would choose the Library any day over them. The rooms are refreshing and modern with excellent wifi. The location is superb. On the beach but protected from the hordes. People watching sea swimming and sundowners all possible but also one...

The Library is a stunning conceptual hotel built in a semi-minimalist architectural design, located at the heart of Chaweng Beach. Shaped by the hands of an island local who was inspired by books and a simple lifestyle philosophy, the property has now become an international icon of style and was recently recognized by Tripadvisor as the number one trendiest hotel in Thailand (2012).The Library offers its guests a total of 26 unique accommodations in the form of Exotic Suites located on the ground floor, Smart Studios on the upper levels, an ultra-luxurious unit called the Bookmark and an expansive 2-Bedroom Suite. Interspersed with age-old trees and various works of art, The Library and its surroundings boast a balance of nature and culture. Interiors bathed in a minimalist palette are completed with modern facilities. True to the belief that a perfect holiday equals an opportunity to enjoy one good novel, guests are invited to browse through the well-curated collection of books at The Lib, which gives The Library its distinctive name. An award-winning restaurant called The Page is also open for all-day dining, and the Drink Gallery whips up an artistic blend of good food, warm vibes and the island's most fantastic drinks. ... more   less
