Due to the outdoor theatre festival, the best parking option was 10 minutes away through narrow and steep pedestrian only streets. Don't bring too much luggage with you. Narrow and steep stairs to get to the room (one flight for the triple room, another one for the double room). Everything is tight, but the room is relatively spacious. Perfectly clean.... More

The B&B is located in the only square of this amazing medieval village. It is runned by a lovely and caring family. I just loved my room, named Eugenia, and the warmth of being received by Paolo's mum, a very sweet lady. She will make a really tasty cake for your breakfast every day! I had a very peaceful nite... The B&B is located right in the village's center and is facing the lovely hills all around. It's clean and comfy , very quiet during the night and the owner's mum will make you a... More

We had heard that Apricale was a really picturesque hilltop town. We looked online for somewhere to stay and found Da Guia. We booked in for one night. Paulo was very helpful and advised us where to park the car. The car park was a short walk away - don't take too much luggage. The B&B is centrally located in... More

Excellent service! We like Pane integrale, cheese and ham, veg. After first morning breakfast it was all on the table the second day! Positioned right in the center of Apricale at the main market place. 5 stars B&B quality. Birger

We came here after traveling through the mtns to Triora from Vuillanova and Final Ligure. Paolo (the son) said his B&B was full, we went to the parents right on the square. We were offered choice of two rooms, we took the higher floor. Rooms were charming, we were treated like family. Breakfast was homemade torte and bread with butter... More

The location of Da Giua´ is in the loveliest town, with amazing views into the mountains and the real Italy. The plaza in which it is situated has really cute and delicious restaurants, with a great italian spirit. The hotel itself has nice and cozy rooms with great views, organized and clean. The family was so nice to us, helping... More

Room was small (as was shower) but view out window into valley below was incredible. Did not use fireplace as it was summer, but it was nice to have authentic, working fireplace nonetheless. B and B in a very old building in the heart of Apricale. Parking below the winding alleys was not far from the guest house. Paolo and... More

We stayed here for four nights in May, celebrating our anniversary. Da Giua was so cute, friendly, nice and right on the village square. We had the room with the open fire, and lit the fire a couple of nights. Very romantic! We also found several very good restaurants in the village. We will be back for sure! Only drawback... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
"Da Giua" is a family-run bed & breakfast that opened at Christmas 2004. It is located in the heart of the ancient village of Apricale (in Latin "Apricus"- which means, "open to the sun"), one of the most beautiful places in Western Liguria, not far from the sea and from the Cote d'Azur. It is reached by climbing just a few kilometres into the Nervia Valley. We take our name from Grandpa Giua, much loved and well known in all of Apricale, so much so that the Bed and Breakfast is known affectionately by the nickname of "the grandparents' house". Recently restored, the Pisano family has retained the typically Ligurian architectural details of the building and offer double bedrooms with beautiful views of the valley and the village. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, central heating and satellite TV. The wooden beams of the vaulted ceilings, the majestic fireplace, the kitchen - mirror of an ancient world that seems to have disappeared - make this an ideal place to spend relaxing weekends, for young people, couples and families, in contact with nature and the old traditions. Apricale is located at the foot of the medieval castle and facing the ancient main square in the centre of the village. It is the ideal starting point to visit the magnificent treasures that Apricale has to offer visitors - a mixture of history, charm, traditions and legends. ... more   less
