We could have stayed the whole week…. Rangimarie Bush retreat is exactly that: an amazing bed and breakfast nestled in the forest, by a crystal clear stream, with farm animals and birds making it even more authentic. Rowena's croissants are by far the best we have had!! A little corner of paradise.

Interesting little barn in the middle of now where. We stayed at the Barn and to get to the barn, the owner has to send our luggage over in a 4x4. The barn has no wifi but comes with a fireplace using firewood. There is cooking facilities and the home made croissant is heavenly. No central heating at the Barn....

We arrived at Totora Hut as the sun was rapidly going down. We didn't know what to expect because Kawhia Road was so desolate, winding, and seemingly away from everything. We were so delighted with what we arrived to. Rowena, the beautiful owner, greeted us with her lovely dog. When we were shown the hut, we felt like we had...

The planet needs small islands of tranquility in an ever busier world.Rangimarie is such a place , where you leave your mind at the door and let nature wash over and envelope you. Rowena supplements all this with Kiwi charm and down home hospitality. Take the winding path to Poohs house and surprise yourself , you won't be disappointed and...

We luckily found the Rangimarie Bush Retreat through Tripadvisor right before we left for our trip to New Zealand and booked it on a whim. We are sooooo glad that we did. This was the best stay and the best sleep that we had anywhere in New Zealand. The scenery is stunning and calming with a creek that runs through...

We stayed in the cottage but Rowina has also just completed her...

This little slice of heaven is a wonderful place for anyone needing to recharge, escape the email and telephone trap or just relax. A perfect place to sit and watch the changing colors of the bush and the sky. The bird life is abundant, I had only been there an hour when I saw Tui, Wax Eyes and Kereru. Rowena...

We had an amazing stay at Rangimarie B&B Bush Retreat! Such a beautiful place hidden away in the bush, with a flowing stream, lots of wildlife flying around and some of the coolest looking chickens we've ever seen :) The outdoor bath is gorgeous, and we loved all the handmade artwork and mosaicing around the place! Such a relaxing night,...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this rustic self-contained cabin in the bush with a river and sheep and lovely gardens all around. Our hostess, Rowena, took very good care of us and even shared her bounty from her garden and chickens. She is very knowledgeable about what sights and walks are nearby. I especially enjoyed my personal...

“We stayed in the cabin rather than in the lodge as we wanted our own space. The financial value was far and above nearly every accommodation I have stayed at. Also, the bed in the cabin happened to be the best sleep I've ever had in this country.”
