This is a basic hotel with simple rooms in a very old building. The old fortified walls are a few metres from the building. They have storage for bikes if you are doing the Camino that way. The bar is a nice space to spend time if the weather is warm outside.

Agree with Greypacker review listed - this is more a b and b than a hotel! Ours was a noisy attic room with paper thin walls (TV next door) and hum of refrigeration from downstairs so sleep on a hot night (no clim) impossible. Toilet in bathroom 'camping car style' with noisy grinding flush! This is a rip off at...

Nothing super special but clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Good location just as you enter the town. Good parking, rooms at the rest are quiet. Nice stay. Just down the road from the Camino so ideal for walkers.

This hotel is a bit overpriced in my opinion. I have had a pleasant stay. The lady at the reception is friendly, helpful and very kind. She was eager to help with any requests. The place is clean and tidy. It's about a 15 minutes walk from the station and about 10 minutes walk from the pilgrim's office.

A mean bed and breakfast pretending to be a hotel! I registered and then the place shut up no bar no restaurant no service! 2 small shower gels and thin towels. The plumbing was Saniflow so made a noise after every use. Over priced. A define avoid.

Simple hotel close to the town centre and old town walls, staff were nice rooms were basic but clean, most of the people staying were getting ready for the start of the Camino the next day, breakfast basic but ok. Would recommend this as a budget stay before your Pilgrimage.

Stayed one night with friend who was starting the camino. Clean and spacious room, huge bed. We were at the back of the hotel so very quiet. Breakfast was good value. Restaurant was closed and bar closed at 7pm which seemed rather strange on a Friday evening. No water containers, plastic or otherwise in the bathroom.

So in order to start the camino well fed and rested I needed the perfect place to stay the night and day before my trek in St. Jean Pied de Port. It was worth it for the economical 85 dollars a night to stay at Hotel Des Remparts. Bernadette met me at the train when I arrived (very late) and...

Hotel des Remparts is a clean, friendly, family-run hotel handily located just around the corner from the town's activities and restaurants. The street outside got a bit noisy in the night when a tour bus full of noisy rugby players stopped and disgorged its drunken, singing passengers onto the street temporarily - but that's hardly the hotel's fault! Breakfast was...

We stayed here for one night in May 2012. The room was a bit bare with a TV but NO english channel. Strangely we were expected to leave the key hanging in the corridor whenever we left the hotel. When we didn't the manager admonished us like children!
