Stayed at this hotel again, and the room was great! Bed was comfortable, shower very good, the apartment was very clean, and very spacious. The building is beautiful, and the hotel has a restaurant that serves good food too. Very well located and very friendly staff.

This is a beautifully decorated and clean hotel. The dinner at the hotel was amazing! The croquettes, the ham, and the chuleton was great fuel after an exhausting first day of the Camino. I will definitely be back!

We were walking the Camino and booked into the main hotel rather than the dormitories or the apartments which are all within the same Monastery complex. It was a good choice. Very stylish and modern room with very big and comfortable bed. The meal was very good and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They spoke a little... More

Located in an incredibly beautiful setting and the beginning stop for our El Camino journey, the old monastery is indeed charming. The rooms leave a little to be desired but I can understand how the structure needed to be accommodated to serve to many pilgrims. Having the church and pilgrim office next door was so perfect and a beautiful start... More

I was not expecting to find such a fabulous hotel at the end of the first day on the Camino. The hotel is in a beautifully restored building. The lobby is minimally decorated which allows the original structure to be revealed. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The furnishings were comfortable and of high quality. I look forward... More

The hotel upgraded our double to an apartment when we told them that we needed to leave before dawn to begin our next day's walk on the Camino de Santiago. They also provided an excellent breakfast for us to keep in the refrigerator. Excellent room, splendid view, wonderful staff, amazing historical buiding, in the center of the Camino activities. We decided to treat ourselves following our Camino hike from St James and booked into the hotel rather than the hostel. Some of our group were in the apartments and they seem to be very similar to the hotel rooms with the same meal options for both dinner and breakfast. Having had a drink or two on the terrace, we... After a long day on the Camino from St Jean Pied de Port it was great to get into our room in this hotel and collect our luggage which had been transported. We had a couple of drinks in the local pub then had a lovely hot shower followed by a meal in the hotel which was very enjoyable. The... More

The restored room in this old building was very nice and had skylights, but no actual windows (not my favorite as I like to see outside). This was supposed to be a night of 'luxury' instead of staying in an alberque while walking the Camino. Unfortunately, there was a fairly major water disaster. There was NO water at all until... Nice stay in this beautiful ancient building, restored with such good taste. Splendid site, full of atmosphere and quietness. Very nice to sit and read in the elegant hall downstairs, to hear the church's bells ringing.
