There is no security in the hotel. Not for an external risk as a robbery or attack, not for inhouse rules for proper behavior by guests. We stayed for a night, there were some guests who got to the hotel at 1am and were loud and noisy easily until 5-6 am and nobody told them anything. We were not able to sleep or rest. We had no hot water in the shower. There are much better choices in town. NOT RECOMMENDED!

This little hotel is such a gem. Immaculate rooms and linens, manicured grounds, crystal blue pool and spa and the staff are truly the most friendly and helpful I have seen in years. Just a few blocks away from the busy center of Via de Leyva, the setting is country charm with fantastic views of the valley and real warmth from each employee. The value is unbelievable as well, the breakfast custom made for you, included in the rate. If you don’t love this place, consider therapy cause it’s one of the sweetest properties we have visited.

the hotel is outside of the old town (you need a car, about 7-10 minutes drive). The hotel is clean and the staff very, very pleasant. The breakfast is simple ... choice of type of eggs, bread, a cut fruit, a juice and a hot Beverage - nothing fancy. If you don't like eggs you´re in trouble.

We stayed here for two nights in a room on the ground floor with two beds - one double and one single. The single bed had a sponge / foam mattress so very soft. The double was much better quality. The room was comfortable although lacking in cupboard/shelf space to unpack clothes. The bathroom similarly had little shelving to place toiletries. The shower was not hot enough or powerful enough and there was no hot water in the sink taps. The breakfast was lovely and tasty. The TV was also good with cable channels. The pool was not heated although the environment was extremely attractive.

If you are staying in Villa De Leyva please consider staying here! It’s a beautiful new hotel (only open for 20 days as of this writing). The rooms are very comfortable and up to date. The court yard area are very beautiful, especially in the morning. There is a pool, a pond with a gazebo, and breakfast is included (a very full breakfast too). It’s a little outside of town so if you have your own transportation it’s perfect and it’s away from the noise of the town. All in all it’s a fantastic place to stay!
