Modern where it needs to be (beds, TV, wifi), rustic for the rest. Friendly staff that sometimes is a little hard to track down, although in their defense this was low season. Good breakfast. Short walk to main plaza, but on its own quiet plaza.
My boyfriend and i stayed there for 7 days! We really had a wonderful rest. The hotel is quiet, silencer and well located. We took breakfast everyday there and we think its was the best place for breakfast.. they have eggs, toast, fruits, orange juice, coffee, bread and cereal. The staff was respectful and helpful. Inside the hotel there is a little library with a chimney that become a cozy and confortable place to be in. The bed and the sheets were clean, fresh and rich for sleeping. as well as the pillows. I highly recommend this place for eather a couple or family group. Thanks!!
Located on a quiet square 3 blocks away from the enormous central square of Villa de Leyva, next door to Nariño’s house. Very safe - I parked my car on the street at night and it was all ok. Beautiful old mansion with a stunning patio, my room was enormous, clean and nicely decorated- ask for corner rooms as these seem to be the biggest. Food is provided by the restaurant next door which doesn’t open before 730am and closes late so you might need to have breakfast and dinner in town (which is probably a good idea anyway). Excellent value for money and helpful staff.
This was our favorite hotel during our 3-week Colombian trip, and by far the most romantic. In the gorgeous historic town of Villa de Leyva, it is located next to the beautiful (and car-free) Calle de Calliente which leads to one of the most famous squares of Colombia, Plaza Mayor. The hotel itself has a beautiful romantic style and vibe to it. It's design, done by the owner and including a small classic library, is a feast for the eyes. The same can be said of all the greens and flowers in the patio, located in the middle of the hotel. We stayed in suite 11, which was spacious and with beautiful natural light. Every day after cleaning we found a nice treat like chocolates from one of the local shops, which added to the experience, just like the nice complementary breakfast in the garden. I can't recommend this hotel enough for people who like to experience the beauty and hospitality of Colombia in the best way possible.…
I went to Plazuela de San Agustin with my Italian cousin and, like a magical realism architectural approach -if there is any- as soon as you cross the colonial doors, you feel transported into a relaxed, cosy and family driven hotel. I totally recommend it.
