Spent two nights in the Old Shop House and it was very enjoyable. Clean, warm welcoming and a great breakfast. Loved the sweets on the table and plenty of tea and coffee. Nice location handy for the RSPB reserve.

Myself and my son shared a twin room here during a recent cycling trip. The landlord was a lovely guy who gave us a lift to the pub (2.5 miles away) that we were eating at that evening. The room was spotless and really comfortable. We enjoyed a superb breakfast which set us up for the next days cycling.

A very friendly place to stay. Wonderful breakfasts and comfortable bed. A fantastic place to stay if you are lucky enough to be able to visit North Uist. Morag and Dougie make perfect hosts and their home makes a excellent base for that special break.

Morag was a welcoming host who cooked a great breakfast. The location is a wonderful one for birding - a mile and a half from Committee Road with numerous short-eared owls, and 3 miles from Banranald with easily seen corn crakes. A special treat was a golden eagle nest viewing area about two miles further. There is a well-stocked shop...

We stayed in the B & B for two nights whilst visiting friends. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a small en-suite bathroom and plenty of storage space. Mrs Nicholson, the owner, was very welcoming, warm and friendly. As previous reviews have mentioned, the area is very quiet, with few local facilities. However, this is the case with...

A lovely B&B in a quiet area. Very pleasant, welcoming owners (and their pets). A clean bright room with everything we needed. A good breakfast. I would highly recommend this to others. We would be pleased to re-visit.

We were welcomed warmly by the proprietor who knows the area well and has good local knowledge. The location is easy to find although not close to any restaurants - to be fair unless you are staying in Loch Maddy or at a Guest House serving evening meals, an evening meal is going to be a drive away anyway on...

A lovely b&b. We stayed here one night while travelling through the Western Isles. A lovely welcome when we arrived. Clean rooms, with comfy beds & both were ensuite. Great breakfast & close to the beach. I would definitely recommend this, can't fault it at all!

Although the B&B is located in a rather remote area I enjoyed my stay. Decent breakfast and very friendly owners. If you travel by public transport, like myself, the location has it's limitations when one has to organize an evening meal for instance but when there weren't any buses available anymore the landlady was kind enough to collect us from...
